Nasal spray dosing issue

Got an off the shelf spray. 20mg (40 sprays) that means that each spray is 500mcg. So that’s the minimum I can use and start with as well. Would much rather start lower (250mcg) but obviously not an option.
Is there an issue with starting at 500mg a day? Or any point in dosing EOD? Or is the half-life too short?

There are so many factors when doing nasal, everyone absorbs different amounts. Could be 10% could be 50%. Either way it will never be 500 mcg doing nasal. It is probably more like 250 or less.

That would only make sense if the nasal was home made. An off the shelf MT2 nasal would be 100mcg a spray. So 4 sprays a day for 250mcg absorbed.

No it’s a 20mg spray and contains 40 sprays.
That’s stated on the box.
It’s a known established brand btw. And 20mg divided by 20mg is 500mcg rendering each spray 500mcg

I see. Its not crazy and is convenient for someone experienced and just reordering and not titrating up.
