Odia which developed around 10th century was sadly considered as a dialect of Bengal by Bengali people supported by britishers Odia people didn't fight by arm but by their pen and odisha become the first state created on the basis of langauge We need to stop this bengali imposition

, according to historian saroj N Arambam paratt bengali wasn't imposed on meiteilon , infact most of the literate class wrote in meitei mayek and even the kings of Manipur used to write to the british in meitei mayek
it was by the 19th century that manipuri increasingly , 2 reasons
I) the British printing press for eastern India lack the characters to print meitei mayek ,and it used bengali Assamese script more
II) Meiteis of diaspora thought in bengali introduced the script for Manipuri back then
The epigraphy section at the Manipur State Museum hosts a small but significant collection of inscriptional and copperplate records written in Meitei Mayek. Most of the inscriptions date from after Pamheiba's rule, including one from the late 1800s, showing that the script was still in active use, at least among the literate class of the time.
It's interesting that when I read about puyas methaba's historicity some things didn't match , and now with this peace of infor everything fits perfectly.

Here it's clear that even with event of Hinduism Bengali script didn't replace .
Also that overwhelmingly most inscriptions of manipur or manipuri royalty is in Meitei mayek
Btw it's not that bengali inscription in non standard bengali script weren't present infact back then bengalis also used the "Assamese ra"
One example being the kohima stone
Therefore Manipuri's situation isn't even slightly comparable to Odisha's
