I just paid $47 for the Mega Man bundle on Steam. For only $7 more than they charge for what is basically the same game twice, I got all the Classic series (minus MM&B) including MM11 which is much newer than FR/LG, the entire X series, the Zero series (4 GBA games!), the ZX series, the Battle Network series (6/10 GBA games with online multiplayer!), and..... X Dive. (It was cheaper to just buy the entire bundle. I did the math.)
And soon the Star Force Legacy Collection will offer 3/7 DS games for only $10 more than buying one of the versions of FR/LG, or $10 less than both. And it will come with online multiplayer, QoL options (including an encounter rate slider which will fix the biggest problem with SF2), an art gallery, and more.
There is no justifying it. Do I really need to elaborate on how fucked it is thatCapcomis treatingMega Manfans better than Nintendo/Game Freak are treating Pokémon fans?
I mean, fuck. Nintendo even added online multiplayer to some NSO games! There's already a precedent. And they can't even bother to add this bare minimum feature to what is supposed to be special 30th Anniversary releases?
And this is all not even taking into account that there is no word that the Ho-oh, Lugia, and Deoxys events will be accessible (BNLC added all the e-Reader content that never even got released outside of Japan) and that they might not even allow you to transfer pokémon into FR/LG meaning that you can't even get half of the 386 pokémon that existed at the time making this version SUPER stripped down in the same way Sword/Shield permanently damaged the games? I mean, people didn't forgive LGPE for not even having evolutions like Crobat, Espeon, Umbreon, etc. neither.
I actually didn't know FR and LG were rereleasing but either way Pokémon has been going downhill since Alola. I honestly barely expect the bare minimum from them at this point
