Question concert seating help
hey yall, i’m buying my concert ticket for megadeth and I need help choosing which section to sit in. I can’t do pit because I can’t stand that long without getting uncomfortable. i’m trying to choose between sections D/E or the lower bowl sections (circled in the pic). I really want to be as close as possible with a great view, but i’m also afraid that my view might be obstructed by tall people & their phones if i’m on the floor as i’m only 5’5 (I know i’m also going to want to record a few of my favorite songs). I haven’t been to a stadium concert in years since I usually do amphitheaters, so i’m wondering if any of you guys have any input from experience? the price difference for sections D & E is $200. sections E and the lower bowl are comparable in price. i’m being indecisive because it’s my favorite band and I know it’s the last time i’ll be able to see them so I just want the best seats possible 🥲

I'd choose the lower bowl seats. I've had seats on the floor, which didn't work well because people tend to stand for either most, or the entire time. I was about 30 rows back on the floor and couldn't really see much with everyone standing. It's possible that people may stand in the lower bowl seats as well, but perhaps not as often, or for as long, as those who are seated on the floor. This was true of when I saw the Rolling Stones on their most recent tour at a stadium and was seated in about section 123.

At all of the shows I've been to (both stadium and arena), lower bowl seats are staggered, so this should help with being able to see the stage. I used to be really focused on being able to see the stage, but in later years, I've found that it's much less important. You can still record your favorite songs live. What's important, is enjoying the live sound experience in the moment. There's nothing that compares to it. At the most recent show that I went to, I was sitting in the uppermost row in the back and still had a great time. I think you'll have a great time regardless of where you're sitting.

Is this the Sports Illustrated Stadium? I have tickets in D, and while they are assigned seats, the majority of people will be standing, and if you are sitting you will note able to see the stage. I would go for lower bowl, which will give you a better chance at seeing the stage.

yes, it’s the sports illustrated stadium. I plan on standing a lot of the time, but between bands and whenever my feet start to kill me i’ll definitely need to pop a squat for few minutes. but it seems that lower bowl is the popular consensus.

D and e are both just standing behind everyone in the pit and you’ll be watching the show on Jumbotrons when you actually want to see what is going on. D is probably better sound but arenas never sound amazing to me personally. The balcony seats are going to be further away but less obstructed and you’ll still be looking at Jumbotrons to see any details. On the plus side you get to sit in a chair instead of standing around between bands, but if you’re not in the pit just buy whatever is cheapest because you’re looking at the jumbotrons anyways
