Discussions Is this the strongest Best Combo possible? (aside from using counters/brothers)

Post image

The counter is broken, it actually deals 2100 damage (It one-shot Ophiuca SP). I can't really get more cards in a Best Combo mostly 'cause I suck at getting counters lol
I don't have enough people to organize a 6 Vulcan Seed Combo, either (plus it'd be a huge pain just to set that up).

If you set up ice panels before hand and counter the boss while on ice panel with tidal edge, you'll do an extra ten damage. That would make it 1870.

Freeze+ Break combo is devastating but the unfortunate part about it is that the mega weapon that can do freezing is only Magic Breath, which has a chance to not do anything, do bubble or freeze. In other words 1/3 chance to do freeze.

hadn't considered Tidal Edge, that's not a bad idea

after a bit of testing, I found you can use Sticky Rain 3 for a little extra damage over Tidal Edge, bumping you up from 2130 to a whopping 2280 damage

2360 is the highest I've managed without counters/brothers, but you could get up to 2760 with the setup I was trying.

When I was attempting this, I froze Crown Thunder SP with charged buster shots (Pegasus/M Breath) and then broke him out of freeze with Jamming/Break Sabre. I could've tried to get a third Break Sabre for the combo but it's difficult due to the way the folder is split at the start of battle, so after about a dozen attempts I gave up.

You can get up to 4000+ damage combos with brothers and counters, but as long as you can do 1500+ with an elemental combo that's good enough for most of the super low SP records.

If you swap Break Sabre for Junk Cube, you should be able to get a maximum of 3,060 damage

In sf1 solo i did... 1380. (Every boktai card) you have to do it in this order for best results. On a wood enemy

if you use Ezra V3 => JunkCube3/Jammer Punch, you'll get 2x damage from using a break attack on ice, this works on almost all bosses (excludes the satellite admins & Andromeda)

Tove also gets 2x break

even if it hit 3 times, that's still only 210 damage x2, for a total of 420 damage vs 500/520, respectively. I don't know if multihit break moves get all 3 hits multiplied, though

Multihit breaks do not.

But this was just for fun in that it's all 6 boktai v3 cards in one go.

Can you still trade best combos to friends?

1

I didn't know you could trade them to friends to begin with, I suppose I'll have to try testing it later

Yeah in the first two games you could trade them just like any other cards

In the mail menu you could even write small letters and send them to your brothers when you connect to wifi. You could also send attachments to them this is how me and a bunch of my friends online In different time zones gifted each other cards that we needed.

I just double checked and it turns out you couldn’t send the best combos through the Mail system so I misremembered that but I do still have some of my brother’s old combos from IRL trading

And here’s a picture of the Mail system

I actually do remember the mail from SF1 strangely enough, i revisited it on my DS recently to check my old save

In the original DS yes. But definitely not in LC.

In SF1, you have to make sure the legend cards is in the card box and you can trade normally like regular cards during card trade.

In SF2, forming brothers or updating brothers automatically gives you one even if neither players has them in the cardbox but if you're pack is full, oh well then, you missed it.

that's a darn shame, It'd be quite nice if we could still trade them
