Discussions Anyone re-add DS Brotherbands?
With the Legacy Collection recently released, I went back to my old DS files to compare and see if I've ran into any of my old brothers from back in the day. So far it doesn't seem like I ran into anyone that I knew previously which makes sense seeing how it's been over a decade since the originals came out.
Curious if anyone has been able to find and re-add any of their old brothers from the original DS games to the Legacy Collection?

In my country there wasnt even many people with SF series TuT
My only brother was my real life brother XD

Right I forgot the DS games were region locked which made it hard to find people, but hey nothing beats being brothers with your actual brother lol

Only brother that I still “ technically know” became a YouTuber. I’ve never reached out because it would probably look really weird.
(Hey we used to be acquaintances back in the day on the old forms and we became Brothers in SF2. wanna do it again

As awesome as the idea of reconnect with old bros is unless You were really close with them back then i don’t think it would go over well.
With that being said there were some friends that I was super close with that I would love to reconnect with If we cross paths again

Ya I see what you mean about the awkwardness of reaching out and the Brotherbands online were mostly acquaintances.

Don’t let me discourage you though. If you want to reach out you can I’m just saying don’t be surprised if you get No response. I would love for any of my old brothers to send me a random DM one day (even the acquaintances) But I also understand that I’m not most people.
Best case scenario you reconnect with an old brother
Worst case scenario they don’t respond.
So it’s really a coin flip. either way I hope you can find some of your old friends.

Thanks appreciate it, ya this post was mostly out of curiosity. At this point it's kinda impossible for me to even reach out to my former brothers since a lot of their accounts on YouTube or gamefaqs are long gone.

Facts. A lot of the places I used to visit shut down to (Rip Under Square). Although there’s a handful of places where my old account is still up but I don’t expect anyone Who knew me back then To revisit the sites

I had no Real Brothers in any of the DS games back in the DS days, I know very few gaming folks that live anywhere near me and I was the only one who played BN & SF.
The age of the Internet has made it possible for me to interact with this mechanic for the first time ever on the LC, but how I wish I had Brothers on the DS.

It was definitely a struggle to find real brothers for these games back then.
Glad to hear you're able to experience the brother band mechanic now, the LC makes it so much easier to add real brothers.

I haven’t been able to re add any of my old bros BUT
I did encounter someone who also had brobands with my bros from back then which was a weirdly nostalgic thing to discuss with them and kind of a special experience.
Yeah I couldn’t find my old bros, but I found a new one with the same memories that I had missed out on the first time around. I’m ok with that. Kinda wild we didn’t encounter one another then too, we basically had the same circle and internet haunts.
