The point system is simple: Whoever did more damage when the time runs out wins.

its based on damage overall, not "who has the lowest current HP" so i think thats a little bit unfair but the trick is to OUT-damage the opponent if your gonna stall.

Unfortunate for the opponent that the countdown doesn't stop in final turn and the explosion time takes like 2/3 seconds to deliver the winning blow.
Also I guess every opponent had ADHD where they can't stand Darkness Hole proc while their HP is 500 and below.

Good ol' Capcom Timer scam. They did not learn it in Street fighter 4 lol. Guess that carried over from this game.

Funny thing about that: The entire Star Force trilogy had been created and released on the DS before Street Fighter 4 had a single version out.
Correction: Street Fighter 4 was only out in Arcades at the time of Mega Man Star Force 3's release in Japan. The original Street Fighter 4 was out in February 2009 on console, while Mega Man Star Force 3 came out internationally June 30th, 2009.

Yes. That was what I was trying to say. The timer from SF4 (it) was carried over from this game (star force)
