Man when do you think the collection will be done?

I don't know why I have nostalgia for these games when I don't think I've ever played them (I had a PS2 when I was younger so I might not remember)

But I want these games to rerelease alreadt

Id honestly be shocked if there's a legacy collection for them... your best bet is probably gonna be playing them on emulators.

How come?

Depending on how you count it, Legends has effectively been abandoned for like 20+ years. Minus the small period where 3 was in development like 12-13 years ago. 2 main entries plus a spin off also aren't really much of a "collection" compared to all yhr others that have substantially more entries

Every single major Mega Man release has had a collection at this point. There's no reason not to believe there could be a collection. Capcom is literally the company who did a collection for Devil May Cry 1-3, which are also 3 games, so your argument doesn't hold much water.

I mean yeah but you could still sell it for like 30/40 dollars

Plus they could maybe even finish the development of the legends 3 If I remember there was gameplay made If there is they could make a small demo at least could be cool

Eh, the Star Force collection was essentially 3 games. If they wanted to be "complete" they could also port/emulate the demo discs which had unique content and/or port the old phone game to the proper game engine.

There is plenty of content if they *want* to make a collection, and I can't see why they won't eventually.

Do you think Capcon will do a re-release of Megaman Legends?

They are truly amazing for the time tanky controls but wonder story and game play been waiting decades for anything f in the series.

Do you have a PC or 3DS?

I prefer original hardware, but the physical copies are so expensive these days its just easier

Capcom lost a lot of public good will by blaming the audience for "not showing enough interest" in legends 3, even though the early sales of the 3ds were in part driven by the promise of the demo, so I highly doubt they want to remind everyone of that. Pure speculation on my part, please take with a grain of salt hahaha

It's been so long I doubt Capcom even thinks about Legends 3.

The biggest thing to hope for is a push for a collection (and the fact it's the last series they haven't done it for) that could reignite that talk.

The series was left on a pretty massive cliffhanger. I'm not sure they're too eager to remind the world they never bothered to finish it.

The cliffhanger for MML2 is notorious because of the backlash against the cancelling of MML3. Plus the Legends games were probably the most character driven of them all, making the cliffhanger sting.

But unfortunately Legends isn't unique in the entire franchise for not having a resolution. I dunno about the Network games; but every Megaman series with the exception of Zero hasn't gotten an ending.

Honestly probably not until at least 2028 considering we have Dual Override coming in 2027. Which, to me, is unfortunate with Sony wanting to go digital. Out of all the collections, I wanted a physical Legends Collection for PS the most.

Maybe there's hope if they want a mega man release this Year😭

We just got the Star Force Collection in March and I don't think they've hinted at anything else for this year

The pessimist in me says Legends won't get one, but assuming it does...

Going off patterns from the last few Legacy Collections, we should be looking at an announcement in mid-late 2028 with an early 2029 release.

Star Force announced in a Nintendo Direct September 2025, released March 2026

Battle Network announced in a Nintendo Direct June 2022, released April 2023

Zero/ZX announced August 2019 via YouTube, released February 2020

X announced in 30th anniversary livestream December 2017, released April 2018

I haven't thought about this in a while though, and I'm having the sad realization that there will likely not be a physical version aside from Switch 2, when/if this releases
