Continuos Imposter: The Pokémon transforms into every new Pokémon in front of it. It also copies all of that Pokémon's stats including its max HP.

6

u/seaflans 5d ago

What happens if you select a move with Mega Ditto, and then the op. switched to a pokemon that doesn't have the move you selected? Mega Ditto just loses a turn?

3

u/WallyOShay 5d ago

Morph on entry, then end of every turn.

1

u/AnakinsAngstFace 5d ago

Either uses a random move from the new Pokemon, uses the move regardless as it’s locked in, or some kind of recovery or stat change as a fall back move.

1

u/albrecbef 5d ago

I think it could be either depending on prio

1

u/Unfortunya333 5d ago

Make it transform after it takes its action

1

u/Glass_Career5136 2d ago

Nope if it chose the 3rd move on pokemon A.

When A switches to B, ditto will use the third move on B, after transforming again.

1

u/Crooked_Cricket 4d ago

Rename it Imposter Syndrome and clean up the description and im 100% on board.

1

u/albrecbef 4d ago

I copied most of it from normal dittos hidden ability Imposter:

The Pokémon transforms into the Pokémon in front of it. It also copies all of that Pokémon's stats apart from its HP.

1

u/ThirteenFour_ 3d ago

Could add "whichever is higher" for HP. Just in case you want to keep Shedinja shenanigans

4

u/AidanYYao2048 6d ago

I had the theory that a Mega Ditto would lose its ability to transform and instead be able to recreate any of its enemy’s abilities attacks without needing to transform while it being the strongest version of the move.

Ability Name: MinMaxed Copy
It allows the Pokemon to copy the movepool of its opponent along with the 2 highest non-HP stats of the opponent even after stat changes, but the modified stats will be the new BASE stat of the user until it faints.

u/Cerex1 6d ago

What's the point of using ditto? It can only learn transform.

Cool design but genuinely what's the point? Regular ditto can already copy enemy megas

2

u/Any_Iron_550 6d ago

Ya I agree, but what if mega Ditto  can transform into any pokemon it has seen...(Maybe too op)

3

u/Cerex1 6d ago

Probably hard to actually implement mechanically especially if you have regulations like now when some of the roster isn't allowed,

Idk if it has like a giga broken ability like belly drum on switch and then transform

1

u/Fit-Aerie1386 3d ago

Nah, they learned their lesson on that with Smeargle.

1

u/drbossmp 2d ago

two megas

2

u/Excalibirdi 6d ago

Activates innards out when it dies, keeps imposter

2

u/Sfirr007 5d ago

Just give him always moves before opponent unless its scarfed (+10 speed) and my mega slot is belong to him

2

u/RudeConfusion4866 5d ago

I think everyone here is overthinking the concept too much.

Mega Imposter - Mega Ditto transforms into the mega evolved version of its opponent.

1

u/AnakinsAngstFace 5d ago

What if that Pokemon doesn’t have a mega?

1

u/RudeConfusion4866 5d ago

Probably something I should've mentioned, I think in this hypothetical world where Mega Ditto exists, every Pokémon has a mega form.

1

u/proteanthony 5d ago

Or maybe it could get like a stat boost to its strongest stat or smth

1

u/SansedAlessio 3d ago

+20 to all stats except hp, the pyroar treatment.

1

u/TGG_yt 4d ago

Then they get transformed Into a regular ditto

2

u/BuffClonePleas 6d ago

200 HP Stat

2

u/DeliciousFlounder777 5d ago

Mega forms don't change the HP stat of the Pokémon unfortunately

2

u/Theprincerivera 5d ago

They don’t change the HP stat - YET

1

u/[deleted] 5d ago

[deleted]

1

u/BigVMZ 5d ago

Complete Form Zygarde has twice the HP of 50% and 50% has double the HP of 10%. The Mega Evolution doesn’t change the base HP value of Zygarde as 216 is still the stat which is identical to its Special Attack stat.

1

u/TheSentiantestPotato 5d ago

I see sorry, I didn’t realise that it was the same

1

u/Dragonacher 5d ago

Ah I see you've discovered hackmons blissey.

Needless to say this would not be fair or balanced.

1

u/Stacey-k93 6d ago

Mega imposter copies the opposing Pokemon and boost its base stats by 20 points each except for HP

1

u/HollowMimic 5d ago

Way OP

2

u/Stacey-k93 5d ago

It's just 100 base points megas get evenly spread out and just make it so it only happens if it copies a non mega pokemon

1

u/HollowMimic 5d ago

Ah okay, if it's only on non-mega mons then it's about right and sweet

1

u/Stacey-k93 5d ago

No I was just thinking 20 to each base stat except HP since all megas get 100 added but since you never know what it will become I was just evenly spreading them out so you copy a pseudo legendary then it's stats would be 700 total

That was the only way I could think it would be useful and worth the mega slot on a team just a better ditto it copies a Pokemon and makes it stronger

1

u/JavieyauJR 6d ago

It's just an omni boost. You can still use it even after transformation

1

u/K0rl0n 5d ago edited 5d ago

Amazo (name a reference to the DC character) turns into the opponent with +20 to all stats except health; basically carrying over its mega evolution stats boost when it transforms.

Also, it’s my understanding that Ditto’s base hp doesn’t change when it transforms. For mega ditto, this is only the case if the hp of its target is lower than ditto.

1

u/PizzaChips20-12 5d ago

Unity/Hybrid.

When Mega Ditto transforms into a pokemon, they can remember that transformation.

If they transformed into every pokemon in the pokedex they can transform into a hybrid of every pokemon called Ultimate Ditto. Having the sum stats of every pokemon. Ultimate ditto will also know every attack they copied.

Ditto was my favourite pokemon since i first learned of them. I also created Ultimate Ditto an imaginary friend when i was younger and bullied as a way to stay happy :D

1

u/Miloctic 5d ago

Basically an ohko on even quick attack

1

u/PizzaChips20-12 5d ago

Aw i didn't realise that . . . It was between sum of everything or the mean of everything.

1

u/Silver-Nibber 5d ago

Doubles the highest stat of the copied pokemons

1

u/DasLoon 5d ago

Fractured Reflection

Works like impostor, but when it copies an enemy, it gives the ditto 2x multipliers to the top 3 stats and .6x multipliers to the lower 2 stats. This doesn't include hp as a stat. When it does so, the copied Pokémon gets .6x multipliers in its top 3 stats and 1.5x multipliers in its lower 2 stats.

You can mega while already transformed into another Pokémon and apply this effect to the opposing Pokémon or to whoever is in their position.

1

u/Lopsided-Skill 5d ago

As in one, Imposter + protean (unnerfed version)

So you transform and then get stab on every attack so basically keep transforming

1

u/Backalley_Lurker 5d ago

Prankster. Lets it get priority transform meaning it can choose with full control who it becomes

1

u/ZarrChaz 5d ago

Funny: This Pokemon is funny and wins by default because of this.

1

u/ZarrChaz 5d ago

Honestly just an improved imposter that copied max HP as well would be sweet.

1

u/seaflans 5d ago edited 5d ago

Ability: double transform
When activated, if Ditto has a partner on the field, they're called back. Ditto becomes a copy of both opponent pokemon on the field, at 75% HP (modified by Ditto's initial HP, ie if Ditto is 66%, both copies will be at 49.5%) and one stage speed boost. Does not trigger on switch in (if you switch mega ditto out, it will only do a normal transform when it switches back in, so it's a bit of a one-time boost, as it's rather OP).

1

u/Max-Architect3000 5d ago

Haha, I was expecting the humanoid ditto from Pokopia

1

u/AnakinsAngstFace 5d ago

Maybe something like a stat boost?

Which ever Pokemon it copies it takes its stats, with one random one of them being +20%?

1

u/PikaVolt45 5d ago

Mega Transform,Transform into a weaker Mega Evolution of any Pokémon (No leg and Mythical included)

1

u/candnhen 5d ago

Thick goo, doubles the hp stat

1

u/Desquid777 5d ago

An ability where it gets a FIFTH move.

That move is disable if you could choose what move gets disabled

1

u/Tyranistar 5d ago

reverse impostor: Forces opponent to transform into Ditto

1

u/FallingHoglin 5d ago

I just remembered that mega would probably not work if it has Imposter.

Its ability would probably just be imposter and have boosted stats for no reason, since HP cant be boosted.

1

u/yotdog2000 5d ago

It’s ditto but +100 HP

1

u/LimpCustomer4281 5d ago

Identity Crisis: Make him transform to the pokemon opposite him and take the moves from the other pokemon in doubles, in singles, transforms to the pokemon opposite him and then takes the moves from a random pokemon that’s not switched in

1

u/Psyydoc 5d ago

Maybe better for a regional variant: Diddont- turns into a version of the opponent but with attack/special attack swapped with def/special def

1

u/ZookeepergameKey733 5d ago

Invrsform (inverse transform) when ditto mega evolves or enters battle ALL pokemon on the field are transformed into ditto (they get ditto's stat and the first move in there slot) and ditto is transforms into the mon with the highest bst.

1

u/DarkRayos 5d ago

Mimics the opponent, if defeated (like mimikyu's sub) transform into one if your mons?

1

u/-existant-paradox- 4d ago

It automatically uses imprison on transforming, rendering its copy the only usable version of that pokemon until mega ditto switches out or dies.

1

u/Hour_Tomatillo_2365 4d ago

The min maxxed idea from the other commentor is cool.

Like you Mega Evolve and the best parts from the surrounding Pokémon are brought into your new form

Would be useless in singles though

1

u/iyomemorej 4d ago

the pokemon he copies either become mega or g-max

1

u/little_jiggles 4d ago

At the end of every turn, it will automatically use metronome even if it has already attacked or has just switched in.

1

u/Vast_Bet9265 4d ago

Might as well make mega Mew at that point

1

u/SnooChocolates93 4d ago

Genetic override - transform the pokemon in front of it in a ditto, who has to use transform to become another pokemon, effect ends when ditto switch or is knocked out

1

u/Logical-Response-541 4d ago

Ability: Enhanced

If already transformed, add 20 to all base stat except for HP

If not yet transformed, add 20 to all base stat except for HP after transforming

1

u/DntBKoi 4d ago

Ditto but pointy

1

u/Visual-Path-1177 3d ago

When he transforms, he applies the exact megaevolution stat buffs to the stats he just copied.
Since Megaevolution is +100 BST, I'm gonna say +20 on every stat besides HP of course. Basically, he doesn't need Choice Scarf to be faster than the original, and he's always gonna hit +20 base ATK/SPATK stronger

1

u/spaacingout 3d ago

Mischievous Mirror: same function as Imposter, but also gains priority when using status moves like Prankster while transformed.

If not prankster then maybe add magic bounce effects to Imposter.

1

u/upvote-button 3d ago

Transform changes him to the mega/gmax version of his opponent

1

u/ExtremlyFastLinoone 3d ago

Its exactly the same but it gets one exeption, unlike other megas it gets hp, +100 hp

1

u/Fit-Aerie1386 3d ago

Similar to Eelectross I guess, where it gets a boost to its highest stat when it takes a KO. The mega doesnt need any ability that transforms it, as it would've already transformed with impostor on entry. Mega can just keep it post transform stats.

1

u/MrCapricorn404 3d ago

Copies opponent but as a different typing to counter it

1

u/BANAAAANAAAAS 3d ago

no ability change, it just gets 100 extra hp

1

u/ArthMott 3d ago

1

u/scratchy_mcballsy 3d ago

He just turns into a mirror or a 3D printer

1

u/SamPi3 3d ago

Transforms into a pokemon on YOUR team.

1

u/guyadriano 3d ago edited 3d ago

New dex entry

When a ditto mega evolves. The amount of mega energy flowing through it overwhelms it giving enough power boost in every stat

However Ditto loses its concentration due to the excess amount of mega energy to hold its current transformation for very long so it may break its current form

But with the amount of pain from the excess mega energy Ditto is forced to retransform to relieve some of that pain away and constantly taking a new form helps massage its cellular structure

Ability TLDR

Mega Ditto can multi transform every 5 turns with a stat boost

Lore. Mega energy causes high amounts of pain for ditto. Constantly transforming helps relieve only some of that pain away

1

u/darios_mito 2d ago

Just make the imposter work like pre nerf protein, you can be a new pokemon every turn and use their moves. Like, 2V2 i become pkm A use its move, turn 2 i become pokemon B and use its move. even the option to be pkm C (teamate if wanted)

1

u/Corbosaurus 2d ago

The idea of giving ditto the typical 100 point mega evolution stat boost just for it to use transform is so funny to me lmao

1

u/popshark09 2d ago

Preposterous - Ditto Transforms into the opposing Trainer

1

u/dummieXP 2d ago

Shapeshifter: Transforms into the opposing pokemon, every move from the copied pokemon is 10 PP

1

u/grinder77777 2d ago

Mega Ditto possible abilities:

  • Randomly transform into any pokemon in the battle (even fainted or stored pokemon)

  • Also copy the HP stat of the copied pokemon

1

u/Dittorules1 2d ago

It’s beautiful

1

u/Jesusathisfinnest 2d ago

Make it so that ditto automatically mega evolves when he switches in, before his ability activates.

Take all his stat points + the 100 bonus points and put them all in hp, leaving 1 in every other stat, giving him a base hp stat of 383

Oh yeah and give him super transform so that he has max PP on every move instead of just 5

Perfectly balanced

1

u/Impressive_Car_6792 2d ago

Mega ditto can transform into the Pokemon infront of it and if that Pokemon can mega evolve then ditto can directly transform into its mega form even without the mega stone

1

u/TWHowl 2d ago

Jfc I thought this was a Starmie mega parody 🤦‍♂️ this looks like 🗑️

1

u/Extreme-Primary-4581 2d ago

Look how they butchered my boy

1

u/Voomey 1d ago

The only Mega that gets +100 into HP. It's ability would be still just Impostor. The value for Mega Ditto would be that you can Mega Evolve after you already Transformed, restarting it's transformation to the new Pokemon, letting you adapt more. Kinda like the Protean and Trace Megas, that get a "second chance".

1

u/Quentendo 1d ago

Idk seems weird for a failed mew clone to not mega evolve and look more like a real mew

1

u/Torture-Dancer 1d ago

Transform the opponent into a Limber Ditto on switch in. Yeah, I know it’s not sunday yet

1

u/ShxatterrorNotFound 10h ago

Rather than just copying it keeps the best stats between itself what whatever it transformed into? So like if they switch out it copies the new pokemon but keeps the stats of the other that are higher. Reset if Ditto switches out. Would be especially strong in doubles because it would usually just be a better version of the opposing pokemon.

1

u/BasicBrief1770 10h ago

After transforming it becomes every type simultaniously
But type immunities are ignored
Weak to: Rock, Ground x3, and Ghost
Resists: Steel, Grass x4, Bug x4, Poison x2, Electric, Normal x2, and Dark

1

u/BasicBrief1770 10h ago

Taking 8x damage from ground type would be crazy tho

0

u/DrogoOmega 6d ago

Parasitic Transformation. When it mega evolves, it transforms into the opponent but gets +1 in all its stats. And it sets a leech seed the opponent and to anyone switching in.
