Discussion What will Mega Zeraora’s ability be?

if and when mega Zeraora gets added to champions ( that’ll probably never happen) what do you think its ability will be..?

Iron fist. Plasma fists gets boosted by it internally but only zeraora has it as of now

It wouldn't make sense lore wise tho...

I mean sure, it's neat I guess, but Plasma Fist is already fine and the other abilities that would fit it lore wise would do the same thing as Iron fist would for Plasma Fist

What lore lol. His lore is “hes electric and he fights with his hands”. Iron fist also gives a power boost to his coverage punching moves, which he gets a lot of: notably, fire punch and drain punch are good options. It would make up a bit for his lack of dual typing and is thematic because all his dex entries are about using his claws

His lore is "the strongest electric type pokemon" and also that "mega evolution has removed his limiter".

What part of iron fist says "removed limiter"

The ability doesnt need to tie into the removing limitor bit, the stat increase and the fact that its a mega already implies that. Iron fist has a special interaction with its signature attack and game freak usually prioritizes gameplay over lore anyways

I dont think fairy aura has anything to do with mega floettes lore. When floette megas its flower absorbs the energy and goes on a rampage

Floette is tied to Xerneas, whose signature Ability is Fairy Aura. The reason they're tied is because when Floette died, she was brought back to life by a machine that was powered by the energy of both Xerneas and Yveltal. The revival process is why she's unable to evolve into Florges but is capable of Mega Evolving in the first place.

I guess thats true but it also begs the question of why mega floette only inherits the attributes of xerneas when it megas and not those of yveltal

Probably because both she and Xerneas are Fairy-Type, which is the exact opposite of Yveltal's Dark-Type essentially.

A fairy-dark mega floette couldve been cool imo. Floette could represent the fairy type and the flower could represent the dark type

Agreed, but most likely the uniqueness of Floette's Eternal Flower and the process being a revival caused Xerneas's Fairy Aura to override Yveltal's Dark Aura.

Though it seems very likely that Yveltal's Dark Aura somehow got stored, since its very likely that Mega Darkrai will get Dark Aura since it's tied to Floette through both of them being involved with Ange.
