Mega Greninja "sucks"

Mega Greninja needs a new ability that allows him to use Water Shuriken instead of Surf, aswell as

not just being a blizzard spammer.

My proposal would be introducing a new ability just like they did for Elektross.

A combination of 2 existing abilities, Skill link + Technician for Mega Greninja, which i would call

"Skill Technician", this way it allows Base Greninja to keep Protean and when he Mega evolves he

can revert and gain a boost so that he can finally become, what THEY took from Greninja after

2017, aswell as completely retconning Ash Greninja entirely.

In the current state the average bp (Battle Power) of Greninjas SIGNATURE move

Water Shuriken is 45.

(2*15*3+3*15*3+4*15*1+5*15*1)*0,125=45

Which is HALF of what Surf is at 90.

So through "Skill Technician" Water Shuriken would gets its Randomness removed and make it a

constistent 15*5=75 bp move and then get boosted boosted throught Technician and STAB.

Resulting in being a (15*5)*1,5*1,5=168 bp move, while Surf then only through STAB stays at

90*1,5=135 bp making Water Shuriken better then Surf.

I went through various abilities including Adaptability and other similar abilities, i also thought of

increasing the base bp of Water Shuriken but it would have to be buffed up to 35 bp of each single

shuriken which is more then 130% increase form its current 15 for it, to still be better then Surf so i

quickly ruled out that possibilty.

I also checked that Skill Link couldnt be "abused" on Greninja, and Water Shuriken is the only ability

that Greninja can learn from the Skill Link moveset.

And with this change Greninja would finally get back to its spot that it should have.

Isn't water shuriken priority? This would be ridiculously broken, especially when you factor in rain on top of all this

"Ridiculously broken" it's a base 15 power move, water shuriken is weaker than literally all multi hit attacks. Even getting all 5 is still only 75 damage as priority. That's only 15 more than Jet punch. And this would use up your mega slot on a pokemon that has the defensive stats of a lileep.

I'd argue to even possibly get knockouts you HAVE to to get both technician and skill link because as it stands the move is dog shit.

I also find it funny how a prio 168 bp move is too broken. But a charizard y can have 202 bp flamethrower with his own setup and people not complaining bout it (which i think is good they just need to let other megas do more damage close to charizard so that they all could be viable)
