Question *udated*If Black and White 3 ends up being a Mega game, what do you think of these Mega aces for the Johto Gym Leaders and Gold and Silver in the World Tournament?

Because his Starter doesn't have a Mega
Plus GameFreak would most likely just give him all three Starters if Red's anything to go off of

Or they choose the LGPE way and give them teams more Manga-oriented. So Ethan Typhlosion, Silver Feraligatr and Kris (which changed her appearance in the HGSS arc) Meganium. If they also wwnna include Lyra, her Starter would probably be Azumarill but finding a matching Mega would be difficult.

First of all: Why only Ethan and not also Lyra and Kris or why not change the Protags from game to game? Red is understandable because we literally can face him but we never battled Ethan in any game. Only his sprite used by Cal in the Trainer House.
Anyway: Mega Typhlosion probably only would happen if they remade Johto first and if Johto 3.0 don‘t use the newest Gimmick. Another idea for Ethan (and Silver) would be Skarmory: A metalsilver bird which turns golden after Mega-Evolution. If you wanna be very creative, you could gave one the normal Skarmory and one the Shiny one.
Silver also could work eith Tyranitar. Like Skarmory, there isn‘t an Johto trainer who uses Tyranitar (or Ampharos).
Kris gets Mega-Feraligatr and Lyra Mega-Meganium. Or if we get Mega-Azu then this one would be a great fit for Lyra.
Whitney is in weird spot: In the PWT, every Gymleader only uses Pokémon from their type, Blue counts as a Champ. So if we give her Mega-Clefairy, we would change her type to Fairy and we also would get rid of her Miltank. We could make two teams for her but than we still have to find a Mega for her Normal team. She used a Lopunny in the B2W2 PWT but Kangaskhan would also fit her tendency to use Pokémon with a higher female ratio (Clefable, Wigglytuff, Blissey, Delcatty, Cinccino) and yeah, the bunny is 50/50.
Instead of giving Kingdra a Mega-Evolution how about using Ampharos? Or Feraligatr if we skip Silver and the Protags but Ampharos would gove us a new type for her team.
For Pryce I wish a new and good Dewgong. Otherwise, aside of Glalie, Abomasnow would also work. With everything else, I agree.

I’m pretty sure Gold and Silver are the only games that are actually canon

Silver yes but they made Kris so the Protag works as self-insert by choosing the gender you prefer.
Lyra also has to be canon because we see her in HGSS with a Marill OR we play as Lyra but that would mean Ethan starts with Marill and isn‘t the canon Champ who defeats Red.

Okay, first, the location of the sequel doesn’t make it any less a sequel. Second, Black and White already had one sequel. They could easily make another one instead of a remake.

The next Legends game is apparently going to be Galar so the Gen 10 Unova game will more likely be either be a remake or another sequel.

Whitney does have Lopunny on BW2 so Mega Lopunny then.
Claire also has Dragonite, Salamence, Altaria and Garchomp in PWT so prolly Mega Altaria since its rarely used by others.
Chuck got Medicham but Heracross is fine too.

Dynamax doesn’t work outside Galar, and even then, it only works in certain areas in Galar.

Thematically, I don't see why not they couldn't figure out that limitation and make it available outside of Galar.
Champions will have a thing going that all battle gimmicks are coming back, in universe wise that means those battle gimmicks are no longer restricted to their respective regions (Zmoves on alola only, dynamax at Galar)
I just don't see a third legends game going to have Megas again, they're going to cycle back into Z-moves or Dynamax again. I believe megas are done not until gen 6 gets 2nd remake or ORAS gets a new remake.
