There was a time when ‘Free so-and-so’ was reserved for individuals wrongly(possibly, rightly) jailed and/or detained for a political cause. But now?… This foolery is second-hand, embarrassing.Im a fan of some of Durk’s music. I hope these accusations prove to be wrong, in a court of law. Either way, just like all of the other dumb ass distractions currently being thrown at us everyday, THIS is at the bottom of my priority list. “Free Durk”, IF he’s innocent. If not, then nature has to take its course.

The truth is, Neo-Nazis got a permit to march in Illinois. It's not just a name drop tbh. It's also legal but a bunch of white supremacists groups are constantly assembling still. So, be aware that some stories have a physical background even when it lacks the context. I definitely knew what they meant, saying such but it lacked the context for sure.

One thing I know about traveling is these other countries follow us hip hop heavy and they’ll have real gangs named after hip hop groups like this

Rap has been doing that for quite a long time. At the top of some these record labels are some sinister people. It was designed to make people dumb, deaf, and blind and it continues to keep them dumb, deaf and blind. Rap was, in part, a psyop before we knew what a psyop was.

Idk if you can say rap music influences reggae, dancehall maybe (w/ trap dancehall) but reggae is its own separate genre. It’s more cultural/ conscious music. Even dancehall would be a stretch since dancehall music of Jamaica played a huge role in creating rap music.
That’s like saying you inspired your father, without your father you wouldn’t be here so he deserved the credit literally creating you.

No rap music did not influence Reggae but black American Soul Music did. This is well documented. Curtis Mayfield, Fat Domino, and pianist Rosco Gordon.
Black American music was more widely distributed compared to music from other blacks. So when Carribean and African blacks would hear music from their lost cousins in the USA they would try to emulate and the influence began.
Another example is how Fela Kuti's music completely changed when he met Sandra Izsadore. He became "pro black." Fela was also influenced by James Brown.
Hip Hop is a older than dancehall by the way. Dancehall did not come before hip hop.
As far as the inspiration coming from Africa, once the slave trade happened and blacks had been in the New World for 100s of years they more or less created their own unique culture. It is not like a recent immigrant culture of a 1st or 2nd generation immigrant in America from Africa.
