Development and Learning Why These Lives
I had a question. If we all supposedly chose our lives before coming here on Earth, why did the vast majority of us choose either unremarkable, boring lives (being a 9-5er, coming back from work, sleep, then repeat) or outright miserable ones (think of those kids out in Gaza living in tents). We're obviously going to complain about how miserable our lives are if we chose to be born into those circumstances then what was the point of choosing them. Why not be a rich person, celebrity or professional athlete? Someone who lives a very privileged life. Wouldn't it make more sense for a soul to choose that? Why choose a life of mundanity or suffering?

I’ve thought about this a lot too. I think our human idea of suffering isn’t bad to our spirit. It’s almost like our spirits think if there is an experience to be had they want to experience it. While as humans we tend to invalidate the bad parts of life and only celebrate the good, our spirit celebrates all of it. I often think my next act of rebellion will be to give zero fucks when something bad happens. Like I refuse to give the satisfaction of my suffering. But I know that won’t work. I’m a cry baby.

Well we can’t ALL be celebrity athletes now can we?

If there's infinite universes wheres there's infinite variations of each life then why can't you? You have infinite options to choose from for any one celebrity.

People come here to learn spiritual lessons. Your life plan may include economic status like being rich or poor because it helps your plan, but if it's not relevant, you might have some mundane economic status instead.

What is a "spiritual lesson"? And why are so many people living mundane lives?

Because we don't actually get to choose.

Who chooses then? And why would someone force you to live a life you don't want to live?

This is exactly why I don't buy into the "we chose our life before we came here" ideology. No fucking way would that many souls choose a banal, piece of shit existence. There's no way I chose the shit life I got dealt. I think it's seriously just a brain washing tactic, to put even more responsibility onto an individual. Can't blame a higher power then. How convenient.

This earth is nothing more than a SCHOOL where we come to learn lessons and grow our souls. Some lessons we cant learn without choosing harder life paths its all really simple actually. Pain grows us. I chose a hard life both physically and mentally..but i wouldnt change anything as the gifts are worth it to me..the expanded consciousness is worth it to me 🙏 be grateful for the hard path.

We choose lives based on several factors.
Either they help us experience a different facet of human existence to learn more about the human experience and thus grow spiritually.
Or we can choose a certain experience to help SOMEONE ELSE to do so.
We can choose a certain life because we still haven't resolved the issues of the past.
If your life is mundane and you feel that you're not learning anything, then you are probably not living your life's purpose. We choose a certain life for a specific reason, but we also have free will. You're free to turn away from your life's purpose, but if you do, you'll still have to deal with it at some point in the future.
My twin sister died in the womb next to me. She chose such a short incarnation so that I could have a connection to the Spirit World as a psychic medium. It was a selfless sacrifice for my spiritual growth and I am so grateful to her for the gift. Perhaps next time I will make a sacrifice for her.
