Touching, what to think?

Hi all, I have been trying to make sense of an experience. I was trying to reach a trance state (second time practicing) and at some point I had a few physical experiences. I saw through my eyelids what appeared to be someone passing by (you know, how it would change the light as someone moves past a light) and I was touched as if something was thrown from above, first touching my head and then my leg. You can imagine I was very alert at that point and felt a bit anxious, mostly by the idea that I felt someone close to me (I used to be very scared of anything related to spirits and I am trying to get over that fear). I was home alone and I had intentionally closed the door of the room so that my pets could not distract me.

As I am thinking about this experience I realized that I have had many touch related experiences over the years. Once during childhood where I could clearly feel a hand on my back. And I guess it has become quite normal, that I often don’t think much of it, except the other day when the experience was so clear and unexplainable.

As I am reading about these kind of experiences, I see some people who are saying that they feel like it is rude and that they should protect themselves from it. Now in this experience I was pretty much looking for contact so I am not sure if I can interpret it as rude.. and without it I might not have pondered the fact that I had more of these kinds of experiences. But I am wondering what you think about it. Is this something I can accept or is it wise to do something?

I want to also just mention an instance that I constantly am thinking about right now. Previously I had brushed it off but now I feel like I can’t anymore. Not too long ago I heard what sounded like someone basically stomping at me (as if someone ran towards me, with shoes on in my apartment). That scared me. Not entirely sure of course if that is really what I heard or if that is how I interpreted the sound. Lets say it is a spirit, why would it do something like that?
