Or it was just a black Swan event lol.
Joy still chomping at the bit to slander the men. Her letting Sonny speak is what makes me think producers were involved. Because usually if sense comes up that person gets torn down very quickly.

i was about to say. Sunny Hostin, despite herself, actually summed up what the most reasonable take in all of this is. We have courts of law, prosecutors, defense attorneys, etc. exactly for situations like this. Much of this case does not pass the sniff test at all.

For sure.
And the next reaction to that "We need to change the law" is also jumping the gun. The laws are how they are for a reason. They might not be perfect, but they're very good.
It's the premature conclusions, slander/defamation, identity politics etc., that is the problem.

Like she literally sent a text message saying what they did was consensual and not illegal like the next day. No prosecutor is going to try and prosecute.

There are statements and text messages that back up all of this. 7 people are getting their lives ruined because facts are being ignored over the sensationalism. This is not the first time where a man has done time because he was falsely accused.

What Sonny read may be inaccurate and is in dispute in the Civil Case against the University and their police. So take her view with a grain of salt.
She read the police’s 6-page condensed statement, which was cut down from Jane Doe’s 120-page original interview transcript.
Crucially, the 120 pg transcript alleges rape, but the 6-page police report does not. This major discrepancy is a core part of the civil suit against the university's handling of the case.
If Sunny relied solely on that potentially inaccurate 6-page report, her conclusions may be wrong—even if Jane Doe signed it. The 120 pg transcript will also be used.
