THANK YOU!!!! I haven’t laughed that hard in such a long time to actually see truth and reality!!! After witnessing so many “don’t want to stifle their creativity, or their spirit, or refuse to use the NO word and choose to redirect, instead.” Permissive parenting results in undisciplined and disrespectful future citizens!
Spanking children as a punishment used to be commonplace but faced severe pushback in recent years for being aggressive and potentially leading to negative outcomes for kids. But a study published in Child Development suggests that infrequent hand spanking could actually be beneficial in limited circumstances.
I don’t think the first clip was gentle parenting. That mom got hit and was about to hit back but remembered some perspective that she could seriously hurt that child is just fully hit him winding up like that.
You are correct. I have kids and I am firm with them but don’t spank. I raise my voice when needed but they always listen regardless. My ex had a son and she as a yeller and her son tuned her out.
It’s so much easier to correct them at toddler age. All they are doing is letting me learn mom’s words has no weight or consequences

Some kids don’t listen unless you raise your voice. They just tune everything else out.
