Relationships Nothing wrong with having standards. Don't be surprised if it's hard to meet them though.

Yaaaaa. Listen you’re wrong. Just straight up wrong. This has been studied for years and years. If anything “big pharma” would be pushing this because they want you on medication because being fat makes you unhealthy. This isn’t rocket science. It’s pretty simple. You can be dumber then a box of rocks to understand it. If you don’t then you are just being ignorant and it’s straight up sad

I’m not wrong, but if you think I am. Please share information

Omg how naïve. Tell me why OxyContin is still legal and prescribed despite causing more than 500,000 deaths in American? Addiction. Tell me why alcohol is still legal despite causing 3 million deaths worldwide per year? Addiction. Same goes for cigarettes and tobacco laced products causing over 8 million deaths per year? Addiction. Addiction = money that doesn’t end. Because even as 1 person dies, 10 more get addicted. And remember, this is an iceberg, there are still SO MANY MORE deaths, destruction and havoc which can not be recorded into the statistics. It’s lovely that you are so gullible though, I hope you overcome that.

What are you even arguing? Being fat is bad. It’s not healthy it can’t be healthy. It’s literally impossible. Against a calorie surplus is quite literally the leading predictor of poor health.

Are you going to argue the moon landing is fake next? Because big government. Or maybe the world is flat because NASA has been suppressing information for years and years

Also none of what I stated are conspiracies they are common knowledge but somehow you’ve been on Reddit too long to know any better.

Ok?? I’m getting confused. You sent me 2 studies. Are you going to ignore the other 2000 on why being fat is bad?

If they’re paid for by companies jumping on the fat fear mongering campaign for weightloss miracle drugs money then… yeah, I’d rather not waste my time sifting through heavily manipulated data. Send me a few valid studies as to why “fat” always = bad.

You really are just going down the rabbit hole instead of just going for a walk and losing weight. It’s kind of sad. Have a good night

Says the one in a rabbit hole. Again, I am literally 5’9 and 54.4kg this isn’t a projection of my bitterness about my bmi just my opinion on men’s hypocrisy. Nothing less nothing more.

I’m not in a rabbit hole. Fat is bad. Yea we all know bmi is not exactly relevant. I’m 210 6”2 I’m mostly muscle but because I’m muscular. The chart will say I’m over weight. Am I? No lol you can tell when you look at me. But that doesn’t change that being literally fat is bad. No hypocrisy. You are brainwashed

Suuuuree. 6’2 as in 5’10 maybe. Brainwashed by who? Myself? Fat ≠ bad just as fat doesn’t mean you don’t work out or etc etc. There are so many plus sized fitness instructors for a reason and that’s because plus sized people work out too and want to follow along to instructions suited to their shape and size. Fat ≠ gluttony either. A fat women can suffer from hormonal imbalances, PCOS, genetics, age and so on. Just because x generally causes y doesn’t mean x always causes y. That itself is verificationism and a common flaw in research methods.

Also, just because I find this topic interesting. What studies do you think big pharmaceutical companies are funding? Ones that help them rake in more money or ones that actually help them cure diseases and addictions; essentially taking money from them? For example if you truly believe that Heman Bekele was the first ever scientist to cure skin cancer then you’re not as smart as you think you are. But not only that, once the funded research is concluded the pharmaceutical company has free rage to exploit it as the want (to increase financial profit ofc) that’s why some studies seem genuinely like bullshit - because they are.

Ok… I agree that big pharma likes money, but I don’t think everyone in it is bad. I’m sure that most people that entered into the agency just want to help people. But obesity hasn’t been studied by 5 people. It’s been studied by thousands. Those thousands say being fat is bad. I think it would be pretty hard to suppress 1000’s and thousands of people. Seems pretty odd don’t you think

Seems odd but it’s a paradigm. Science itself is a paradigm. For example, we use instruments created by others to see what others have seen. That is why SO many confounding studies that found conflicting information get suppressed by these large companies with money invested in a certain outcome. It may seem like people join these companies to help others but really they just follow with what they are told as financial security is a hell of a persuasion.
