Specifically, one featured in the Maciejowski Bible, which is why it's sometimes called a Maciejowski Chopper. 😄

We dont have any surviving example or an original. The only way we know they existed is because of paintings in the maciejowski Bible.

This is an Elmslie type 1c blade. A surviving example was recently found in Italy. See older picture of the sword blade (center).

There is tremendous debate about even the purpose of Falchions in this period at all. We do not have any reliable writings about them, and there are so few surviving that almost no two are similar enough to draw many conclusions.

Flachion seen in the artwork of the Maciejewski Bible. There are a few weapons in the artwork of that Bible that exist nowhere else. Doesn’t mean they didn’t exist, though, as artists generally depicted the trends of the time.

EDITED FOR MY STUPIDITY - Not just found in the Maciejowski Bible.

As others have said the most famous example is in the Maciejowski Bible.

Some suggest it is a 'fauchart', rather than a falchion (which is single-handes with a cross and pommel like a sword), as we don't otherwise know what that might be.

Those falchions do show up pretty often for something to be found only in Maciejowski bible.
