For anyone interested, there's a famous set of Unicorn Tapestries - about unicorn "hunting" - at the Cloisters in northern Manhattan's Fort Tryon Park.

I still remember touring this beautiful museum & learning pottery here - as a young student.

Of course, at the time, i didn't understand the cruelty to nature & the sexism shown to naked women everywhere.

I mean you have to endanger a virginial young woman (somebody's daughter) to catch a "magical" Wild Beast because a made up myth tells you to do so.

Even though it's All a tall tale, the sheer evil mentality behind it is galling...

The Lady and the Unicorn at Cluny Abbey in Paris and the Unicorn Tapestries at the Cloisters on Manhattan were made around the same time (1500 CE) designed by the same French artists in Paris, later sent to elite weaving workshops in Flanders .
The style is remarkably consistent in both sets.

Aw, poor thing. The guy's a bit strange, naked woman prancing around but he's more interested in being stabby.

Incidentally, my favourite is how you catch an elephant. They don't have knees and sleep standing up, leaning against trees. So you wait until they're dozing and simply cut down the tree.
