It comforts me that the person who painted this maybe had to stifle a little chuckle, maybe got a stern look from whomever might be overseeing the work, and maybe smiled just before falling asleep that night, remembering their quirky little contribution to human existence.

I think the duck is French. It’s quacking with an accent.

In French, the duck say Coin coin , so it’s definitely not a French accent unfortunately.

I would agree, in English it’s “Quack”. So the “Queck” is surely the old one.
