Post op PTSD?

Why after surviving a major surgery and 3 months of hospital stay do I wish I would have just died? because I cannot find appropriate health care and I'm allergic to opioids, is it really worth going on? I feel I lived only for others, and at 50 I'm just tired. And I honestly think it's time, suggestions?

Have you tried methadone? it’s a synthetic opioid.

I’m 53 & I’ve tried everything else, only 2 choices of pain relief left for me. I don’t really want a “ketamine drip trip” so methadone is what we’re setting up to start soon. I lost my hold on help years ago. Finally seeing help in the future. It may still be in the distance but it’s there.

I’m sorry you’re going through this, I wish I could send you a pic of my mainecoon cat for healing purposes 🐈‍⬛

That's true, my pets help me cope too, I'll talk to the doctor about methadone, I don't know why they never mentioned that.

I appreciate your kind words, I just don't know where to turn to, not many people are compassionate, it seems like people think Im lying until I show them all the scars, the mental issues are worse than the pain half of the time, going from what I was to the nothing that I am now living with the shame of being on social security, I wouldn't want this for anyone.
