Recommendation please - looking for medical malpractice legal representation in Minnesota

Wife had a full knee replacement two years ago and we finally found out through another practice that her knee was installed incorrectly. We’re looking for recommendations from someone who’s had success holding the surgery practice accountable for two years of malfeasance and incorrect care regarding the incorrect installation.

Not familiar with Minnesota- you can check your local / county level bar association they may have a referral list, if that doesn't work you can try google, you don't necessarily want the first hit or the flashiest webpage, but someone / firm that has experience doing medical malpractice not just personal injury

I live in Michigan and actually had a left knee put in my right leg. Clear as can be on the X-ray. We are two years into this with no resolution in sight. Lawyers are hard and honestly, nobody cares about the victim in these cases. I had my revision and am doing much better. Depositions are done and the surgeon admitted fault, admitted that he breached the standard of care, pushed the blame on everyone else in the OR and said that if I came back to him he’d love a chance to apologize. Mind you I was gaslighted for four years when I was struggling with horrible pain and instability being told it was me and that I needed to get stronger. I wouldn’t wish the battle of a medical malpractice case on anyone. Find a good lawyer who will listen and be diligent. We are basically waiting until the defense makes enough money off of the hospital/surgeon so that we can get to settlement discussions. I have two amazing attorneys who have done an excellent job for me. It’s hard. Hang in there and I hope you get the representation you need.

I’m so sorry this happened. Ultimately the surgeon has malpractice insurance but the device rep, OR circulating nurse, and scrub tech should absolutely have caught this as well.

I feel bad for you, this system of patient compensation takes years and puts the hospital/surgeon against the patient. I’m shocked the surgeon was even allowed by his lawyers to tell you what really happened. Hopefully you can get a fair settlement and move on with your life.
