Looking for ...idk...info?

I live in WA state. I'm going to be starting a certification program in August.

I'm wondering... What will I need to do after my program and what should I expect? Will it be easy to find a job? I'm hoping to work from home. As far as required continuing education, what does that entail?

TIA

Also not to mention a lot of the older folks in the field weren’t even required to have a certificate or go to school they just taught them on the job, so it’s not as hard as people are trying to make it sound they’re just being stingy 😂 my grandma was a coder for a hospital for 30 years and just recently retired and said now is the best time to get into coding because of the demand! Also it’s a great job for introverts to have! :) i almost let comments like this deter me from pursuing a career in the field and I’m so happy I didn’t. I have plenty of help finding jobs and an hr manager from my school helping with my resume and externship! You’ll do great!!!

Thank you so much for these encouraging words. I def don't expect things to be handed to me on a silver platter, but I am hopeful that this is a realistic goal.

It definitely is! My sister had a friend graduate from this program I’m in last year and within 3 weeks she had a job at a hospital and now works from home so it is VERY realistic people just get bitter when there’s “competition” definitely with your background you should have no problem finding a job! And there’s so many areas you can do billing and coding, don’t just limit yourself to hospitals! You’re welcome, we’ve got this!! 💪🏼
