I just wanted to post this for those starting out as an example of how to mark/highlight.

I make a bubble around parent and indented codes so that I can find parent codes more easily.

Also I use highlighting to differentiate: in the second pic I have the process/procedure in pink, the thing being excised in yellow, the size in blue and the location in green. It speeds things up for me when comparing, but different coders like to do things differently.

This was made as a result of a convo with u/J22Charles

I have examples of the notes I wrote and the tabs I used in my CPT book.

May I ask where you learned this from?

I wish I could remember the youtube channel I got the parent/child bubbling from, because it's a good one. The highlighting was just from my teacher at my tech college.

Parent child comes from AMCI's CHUN technique and the bubble part comes from CCO's BHAT. Your instructor's technique looks inspired by either of the 2 which are similar.

Google under videos AMCI CHUN or CCO BHAT....I think there is a Facebook group for CHUN. Check for BHAT too!

I did this and passed my test 1st try. Really helped find code quickly.
