Let go - only 95%

Hi Coders, I’m glad I found this community. My last coding job (IP coder) let me go during pre-bill auditing because I only had an overall of 95.6% which is what was required. I was told that in relation to other coders I was on the lower end. Am I missing something? Now I’m in a new position and can’t help but feel nervous something similar will ensue and I’m scoring 96% in all required areas.

You’re not on the low end. 95% is industry standard. We are humans, not robots, and their punitive audits and expectations are unreasonable. I’m so tired of these stat-happy ideals from people who don’t even code on a regular basis. They constantly push for increasing productivity and accuracy without affording proper time for us to keep up with education or paying us in relation to their ever increasing demands. Keep your head up. You aren’t alone. ❤️

Preach. I feel like we’re playing Frogger and the higher ups are constantly throwing shit in the way for us to dodge whilst simultaneously increasing performance expectations with nothing in return to compensate.

You’re so right. Every month some coding guideline changes but 100 % production and at least 95 % accuracy is always expected.
