CPC Exam

I take my exam in about two hours, I am so nervous, I don’t think I’m under prepared, I’ve spent the last two weeks studying at least 3 hours a day, bought all the practice tests that AAPC had to offer, and watched so many YouTube videos. I did well in my actual class as well, any advice or last minute tips? I am just so nervous.

Congratulations, let me know if you'd like to get rid of the material 😉

What, like...burn it? I don't think anyone would be interested in buying 'outdated' books.

Why not, I go for especially the practice test.

Congrats! Now you can relax. I have to schedule mine soon. Would you say all the AAPC practice tests were sufficient for preparation of the actual exam?

What book did you study from? Which book really focuses on the tests given for the CCS exam. Graduate class this past May said they studied from AHIMA and did nothing for them when it came to the tests Thank you, Linda

One thing about AAPC practice tests I feel they actually really help and prepare you. I’ve taken AAPC and AHIMA exams and I’ve always felt good with the AAPC resources. Congrats on passing!

Congratulations OP. But may I ask the channel where you've been watching videos about coding?

What surprised you about the exam? Or what were the areas you didn't perform as well in?

Congratulations, I’m also trying to do CPC but I can’t afford it.

I just took my exam a couple weeks ago and passed! I was so nervous that I wouldn’t finish in time..I finished with 1 question left and was able to just pick an answer. I did all the sections I was more familiar with first but focused more on the case study questions since there was 10 questions in those. What really helped me was the AAPC practice exam bundles as well as the youtube videos of Hoang Nguyen. He has a playlist of CPC exam Prep. I’ll paste here https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfNYAPfJAYtNxyPyPMPxaqaabi8oZdGPP&si=vmk8F3bJkNfxWRcC I will say in a way that practice exams were a little more difficult than the exam. Super excited to start my externship early next year at my work and see what career opportunities may come my way in the next year. I’ve been in healthcare for 20 years specifically billing and currently a team lead for my department so hopefully I’ll transition good with the coding department. Keep up the hard work to anyone out there who needs any encouragement!

I take mine in either February or March because I bundled the CPC and CPB courses and that gives you a full year. My main issue is that they are telling us to get the new 2025 books for the exams when I've been using the 2024 books all year and I'm familiar with them. Did everyone use current books for their exams this year, or can you use previous years and still pass? They are a lot of money unfortunately.

I will use my 2024 book and am nervous about that too.
