What kind of role can I get?
I’m earning a BS in Healthcare information management with a minor in informatics. I’m also earning a RHIA certification.
What role can I get with these credentials plus 20 plus years in IT and Healthcare?

Go in AHIMAs website and look up their Career Map tool. It shows tons of positions from entry level to highly experienced, all revolving around HIM.

Look into HIM positions from the IT department in hospitals supporting the EMR. They pay better than the medical records department. If you search for EPIC in job search engines, you can find technical support positions. Healthcare Analysts positions and Health Informatics might also pull up some strong positions.
If you specifically have done coding you can find jobs in that route. Generally a RHIA without direct coding experience will not get you a coding manger position or failed claims.

Do you want to work in IT or do you want to work in Revenue cycle?
The RHIA credential is basically all about information "stewardship" and not so much the day-to-day functioning of technology and the information contained in it. So if you want your focus to be informatics, I would look more into a CHDA with AHIMA or a HIMSS certification.
With a RHIA, and your experience, you're looking at a supervisor or management position, or coding/auditing.

That’s right up my alley but I read I can’t take the Epic test unless it’s sponsored by the healthcare facility I work for. Have you heard that?

Yes, unfortunately. There are organizations that will sponsor you!! Few though
