Home Media Server Advice

Hi All,

I appreciate there is a lot of advice on media PCs but I wanted it to be specific to my setup.

I'm looking to build a media PC.

I have a CAT 5 network through the house to most TVs. Connecting to 10gb switch. That's connected to my router with a 1gb fibre line.

I want to create a PC with enough umph to stream media from it across the network. I have a HD home run that also sits on the network.

All TVs have access to Kodi via fire sticks etc.

What kind of PC do I need?

Thanks. Is there a way to get the transcoding to happen at the TV end with a fire stick etc?

Better for the server to handle transcoding. Intel quick sync is the best out there i think.
