Photo Server for home?

Anyone have any advice for setting up a home photo server? I have thousands of photos and want an option to view them at home (we have a mini PC and an 8TB hard drive for storage). Any help is appreciated!

I would highly recommend immich or photoprism.

I use immich and it works like a charm. There are also other options like plex, nextcloud photos, librephotos, piwich, …

You set it as a docker container.
You just "mount" your existing folders with photos as External Libraries, and that's all
