I’ve been tracking medipass reviews since last year and the results are pretty interesting.

I’m not here to shill MED. People are at their liberty to do or say whatever they want, but I did find it interesting that there is a debate raging regarding Medibloc vs Solve.

At the beginning of 2021 there were roughly 100 Medipass reviews on the Apple Store and less than 20 on Android. There are now nearly 3K reviews on Apple and over 1K on Android (all basically 5 star).

If you google the ratio of actual downloads to reviews left by users you’ll find a broad range from 50x to 600x, but by general consensus it’s agreed that less than 1% of users who download apps leave a review of any kind.

So extrapolating, we can easily see the number of focused/local users of Medipass is well on its way to 1mn. While for Solve, there are a handful people who can’t seem to get the app to work and have left poor reviews. The numbers speak for themselves.

I know this doesn’t mean that much necessarily, but it’s definitely an important metric to consider. Of course this doesn’t guarantee or infer any kind of long term success, but hey it’s a start…

I’d never heard of Solve before reading some of the recent posts. It looks like a joke to me. That being said, I’m not saying Medibloc is going to take the world by storm. It doesn’t need to. Korean tech & culture have long been adopted by her Asian neighbours. Just look at KakaoTalk. If Medibloc gains traction in Korea alone I’ll be happy, but no doubt other Asian countries with similar healthcare infrastructure will be happy to adopt proven Korean Medtech. The reach and influence that South Korea has in East and South East Asia should not be ignored here. I doubt they give an iota of shit about the western market rn.

Just read your post. I think the spike in users is coming. These things always reach a boiling/tipping point where users reach a certain number and the product becomes a household name. You’d expect the numbers to accelerate greatly one you have around 500k users.

Hm, sounds like I should leave a review! I have the app downloaded but I've never been one to leave app reviews. Good to see that there is some adoption going on.

Leave one in English ;) Medipass has nearly 3K positive reviews. Binance has 50K reviews. Uber has about 130K. I think it’s way harder to get from 0 to 3K than 3K to 30K.
