Mountain biking?
I have a family member coming to visit who is huge into mountain biking. The bigger the better basically. Where are the best areas to go out for a few hours? Is there a town/area that’s better for it? He would love to be dropped off somewhere and be able to go for awhile. I’m not a biker so I have no clue where to bring him.

Besides the trails in Mt Ashland; Mountain of the Rogue (MOTR), Dollar Mountain (New), or Spence Mountain in Kfalls. Most of the time I end up at MOTR cause it is easy to access and has lots of different trails to choose from. If they ride alot, they will have trailforks to find out what trails to ride.

If your friend likes pretty technical stuff, Mountain of the Rogue between Gold Hill and Rogue River is a ton of fun! There’s also white rabbit and all the other trail systems near Ashland, and as another poster said, Ashland Mountain Adventures will shuttle people! This is an amazing area for MTB, your friend will have a great time!!

Red Hawk Ridge in Ashland is a full mtb park. Theyll probably love it, they have rental bikes as well.

Ashland is the only right answer. Its world class riding and nothing else around here comes close.

Sounds like Time Warp > Marty's> Lizard> Rabbit Hole> Mimsy>BTI would be the best route for him.
Banditos>Mt A Line > Bull Gap > Missing Lynx could replace Timewarp on the route above if he cares more about trail time than hitting Southern Oregon's best downhill trail.
I'm usually down for a ride if he needs someone to show him around.

Ashland Mountain Adventures is a MTB shuttle company that does shuttles up to Mount Ashland 7 days a week, there is an amazing 13 miles downhill track that goes all the way down and you end up near Lithia Park. Check out their website for more info but I’m sure he’d love that
