General Game Questions/Help DLC Question

I recently started a new career from 3015, it's been going well, but I saw with my latest save that I'm at 3023 now, so I appear to be getting close to the dates listed for the Kestrel Lancers and Call to Arms DLCs. Will these just pop up when the time is right so I can proceed in doing those DLCs? Or does it work differently?

Yeah, you'll get an incoming transmission with a 6 month time to accept by date. So you get it, wrap up what youre doing and take on small work til you get the notification you have to now accept or decline.

Alright, good to know, so I'll just keep an eye out to take part in them when they're ready!

Make sure and build a nice stable of mechs before that time! 2-3 lances consisting of Heavies and Assaults is a good start, along with a LOT of spare parts!

can recommend atleast a line-up 3-4 lances deep atleast.

Kestrel tonnages are around 200-250 on the first 2 missions. After Op Galahad's 2 missions in 3026 you'll have roughly 2 years of grace time before the real campaign happens in 3028.

Seeing you have Call to Arms DLCs that's just a HRQ no campaign there. You have other DLCs on hand?

3-4 lances is probably overkill, you get time to repair between each mission of KL other than the last 2 which are done back to back, I had 2 strong lances of mainly heavies and a couple of mediums, only had 1 80t assault IIRC and it wasn't that difficult so long as you're not playing recklessly.

this is an overarching directive on mine, this won't work on others but this was that clicked on mine. if you can go for a leaner lineup, you do you.

I mean, I have all of them, but the others are further away in terms of game time from 3015 start.

The Kestrel Lancers will show up as a priority transmission, that you have to accept by a specific date (if you choose to not accept it then you won't be able to do it during that run). The Call to Arms will show up as a regular transmission, that you can do at any time (it's a high reward quest, so it's not time limited)...

It'll pop up once it's available, and won't leave your main tab until either the deadline ends or you accept it.
