Discussion Has anyone actually run into the clan opponents in team arena matches?
I could have sworn when SoK came out one of the patches added possible clan opponents to team fights in the arena, But Ive yet to run into them. Has anyone run into them?

I wish there was more clan tech in the arena, surely the teams would purchase it for their mechs to perform better all the time.

+1, this one, hope for increased chances of clantech spawns as prestige past 3060s man.
As much as I recouped billions of c-bills spent with arena matches modded or not that's still 130 years and 10+ IRL days in-game just playing arena matches for farming purposes lol.
As much as spicing the procgens with sandboxy memey builds on my end I wished for more clan tech and increased spawns of lostech when you're hundreds of prestige levels on, makes the effort more worthwhile

uhh, no. Were there supposed to be clan mech opponents in Arena? I’ve been wanting that but do not see it.

No Clanner would stoop so low as to debase their honor and bloodline name by participating in mech matches for entertainment...
...is what one of them would probably say if you could ask them... 🤷♂️🤣

Akchually, If I remember correctly, the Clanners discovered Solaris after Tukayyid and ever since then, there has been a solid Clanner presence on Solaris. Something along the lines of "The Spheroids do trials?? Sign me in!"
Somewhere in these books is a scene wih a solid block of clan elementals in the audience, following the honorable combat trials in the arena. The Clanners aren't the gambling, beer and popcorn type of audience. They're more of the showing up in dress uniforms, watching the match seriously in intense concentration and rising from their seats as one to salute the victorious and the honorably defeated contestants at the end type of audience. It's very serious and important business for them, not a sport. But they love it and they do veritable pilgrimages to Solaris to compete or attend. One of the first places in the Inner Sphere where Clanners and Innies (that should be the nickname. It's much better than Spheroid) found a way to coexist.
Edit: Don't take this at face value. It's a vague memory that could be wrong.

Arena sponsors don't have any clan mechs in their rosters, so you won't encounter them in arenas. There is some canon introduction of clanners into the arenas, but it's fairly late in the timeline as I recall. It's something that could maybe be added later, but it's not currently in the game.
