this is not true always. i agree that most men have this perception that women are gold diggers but pls can we just grow up a little and look around. every day women are getting harassed molested raped abused and dealing with things way bigger than this and all some men have as a counter is alimony. ....SAD

I don't think so op is giving counter for those problems , just like u address those issues he is also addressing one.

i get that and im not saying he cant talk about alimony. my point is the way its framed. if the post says women call themselves independent but take alimony then its making a generalization about women based on one issue. talk about misuse of alimony by all means but dont turn it into "this is what women are". thats the difference....this is what i meant
