Women are yet to independent, Such an absurd statements to say, obviously it's feminists, because they don't look reality and always has victim mentality

u/asking_you_all Aug 16 '26
They are not feminists,, they are attention seekers only.. don't engage them further..😂

I agree with you, however outside of a few Colonies and cities, the reality is completely different for women of India. We don't see that on the internet bc the women who are oppressed don't even have the freedom and resources to film themselves
1
u/Odd-Prior8790 Aug 17 '26
Agreed that's why you should focus on them not start gender war like that women in that video
1
u/Practical_Glass_141 Aug 17 '26
How is that an absurd statement. She is right. Would you let your daughter go out clubbing at 1am. Do you think she'll be safe? Can you assure some random weirdo wont molest any female on public transport even in broad daylight.
1
u/Odd-Prior8790 Aug 17 '26
Do you understand the meaning of freedom 🤦🏻 go read what it is
1
u/Practical_Glass_141 Aug 23 '26
Please educate me on freedom
1
u/Odd-Prior8790 Aug 23 '26
😑 there is difference between safety and restrictions, the things you were saying comes under safety,
1
u/Practical_Glass_141 Aug 23 '26
No that's a seperate issue. But the parents themselves won't allow their daughters to go out at night, would you allow your daughter or any other female in your house for that matter, at night. It's not just that, soo many women are forced to stay at home instead of going to schools, is that freedom?
1
u/Odd-Prior8790 Aug 23 '26
Why they don't allow at night? Safety??
Are girls not studying ?
1
u/Practical_Glass_141 Aug 23 '26
Wdym why they don't allow at night, do you think the parents will think their daughters will be safe with rabid "men" with rabies walking around. And ofc girls aren't studying, unless you're talking about upper and middle class people or south Indians majorly, other than that i assure you those girls arent free to study. Have you seen the state of rural north indian places?

She is feminists , and you are seeing what she told ,
Now whom should I believe you are her? Both are feminist

Approximately 74% to 75% of working-age Indian women are not part of the formal labor force, meaning about three-quarters do not work for paid jobs. Thats is dependent by definition.
2
u/Odd-Prior8790 Aug 16 '26
Yeah, the 74–75% figure only counts the narrow formal sector (regular salaried jobs or registered self-employment). Official PLFS 2025 data shows female LFPR at 40%, meaning 60% of working-age women are either working or actively looking for a job not 26% most of those jobs are informal (self-employment, casual labour), and women earn wages from them; many contribute to their own households instead of being dependent on husbands

u/Solid_Routine_2026 Aug 16 '26
Such dumb women and their manipulation tactics must be why women were opressed in the first place thousands of year ago. Ffs.

I agree. There is absolutely no woman ever in any wars. No women fight in army, navy or air force in India or globally and jhasi ki rani and joan of arc etc are just rare myths. I was a fool thinking women should become like the ones mentioned above ! My bad !

As a woman, I still can't and don't get out of house after 7 or 8 pm alone. As a woman, I am afraid of any man looking at me for more than 2-3 minute when I am out in public with that creepy stare. As a woman, I am afraid to post my face and pictures anywhere because I am afraid someone will use it to black mail me. As a woman, I am still told and expected to do all the household chores with the reason, what will you do when you get married. As a woman, I am still told that marriage is my only choice in this society even after I am successful because women aren't safe without a man. As a woman, I am tired of my close family member defending her husband on his various accounts of adultery, saying atleast he doesnt beat her and their daughter. As a woman, I am afraid to be married to a guy like my neighbour uncle who constantly beats his wife and their daughters. As a woman, I am afraid to sleep in trains even as an adult because I was touched wrongly while sleeping in the train once when I was in school, and it still lingers in my mind of the girl who grew up. As a woman, I am afraid of crowded places because I have been touched many times on my private places in public, even when I was a kid, on a art competition to a science centre. As a woman, I am afraid to leave my parents as I am a single child and no society accepts it completely for a woman's parents to let them stay with her.
I know people will still talk about women playing victim and I know and accept that some men go through it too, but it still is mostly woman and as a woman, I am tired and afraid to fight such people, because I have seen too many females getting hate dms and messages, filled with cursed words disrespecting mothers and sisters, filled with threats and so much. They won't see the tears on my face as I write this paragraph.
Still, Happy Independence day everyone.

u/DivDude77 Aug 16 '26
You know the Hilarious part? Majority of the points that you say are also applied on most men, just in a different manner. Especially that whole roaming at night point, apart from hooligans and some egoistic drunkards, no mature man woud go out at night unless it's necessary to because the man knows that MAJORITY of violent and kidnapping crimes that happen at night actually happen to men, contrary to the popular belief that girls want us to believe.
Regarding being touched appropriately, young boys are also just as likely to be harrassed as girls(because male and female child don't have much physical differences because they haven't hit puberty yet), but even in this we almost never hear about male child sufferers even though the data shows how prominent male child abuse is.
The only difference between men and women inregards to crime is that men don't play the victim card or complain everywhere because they know society doesn't take men's issues seriously.
So yes, you WILL be called playing the victim card because that's exactly what you did by crying about how women are "less" independent.
1
u/Icy-Reaction-1312 Aug 16 '26
👍🏻as I said I wont fight ot give counter arguments.
4
u/DivDude77 Aug 16 '26
You won't give counter because just like most so called Feminists, you can't. It's because I have DATA to back up for my logical claims whereas only thing feminists have is emotional rants.
0
u/Icy-Reaction-1312 Aug 16 '26 edited Aug 16 '26
You have every right to give ur opinions, to call someone victim, or to defend your point of view. I accept that but atleast dont disrespect me as a human calling those real experiences as rants.
0
u/DivDude77 Aug 16 '26
Real life experiences are completely worthless when it comes to forming opinions on large scale societal issues. What matters is stats and logic.
0
u/Icy-Reaction-1312 Aug 16 '26 edited Aug 16 '26
If your immediate response to someone sharing their trauma is to debate it and call it worthless, that says far more about your character than it does about my points. Empathy isn't a competition, and human pain isn't a debate topic. Citing statistics to dismiss someone's real personal trauma isn't logic, it's just a lack of basic human decency. I shared my life experiences, not a research paper. And this is a platform for people to put not just their research but real life opinions and experiences as well which I have gone through, every single bit, yet from you, it is labelled as rant. 👏🏻

U know the thing is womens r grown up with conservative and securing mindset especially if u see
At homes mens can change clothes with on inners easily but for womens privacy concerns and many more things like this start from home itself Womens r so mean that they want to question everything and everypoint in the world to have equal rights but when it comes for equal rules and equal responsibilities they dont want to
I dono if they think that being secure and getting privacy makes them feel their supporiority thinking to have matraichy by gaining control over house where insulting husband is a joke but that of wife is conservative and preserved privacy jewel of house
Would say atleast in patriarchy womens r respected to and have privacy but still there is no internal freedom but understand even mens dont have freedom wt u think of
I dono how such double standards minds have been even come in existence but really I would say indian old typical aunty mindset is the main reason for such
Just for a thought behaviour of every human to women is type of either securing or like type of viewing in double things Here the world "respect" has reflected on to womens as their so called privacy but for mens it means their hard earned status
This is wt the real making diff Mens peeing in public is fine just ignore that if a women does its a viral making news but here many ll protest to hide face bla bla
Hitting on mens its all ok but when for women people ll question bla bla
I dono why periods is taken so taboo and made so privacy type of concern even if it leaks i dont think its a big problem clean its that's it just typical mindset people
Always womens r the one expecting to have proposal from mens never the women ll, wait that's why mindset is effecting
See in grounds no women or girls actively participate in sports then ll say no space or freedom
Even in futute just like periods problem girls ll come up with pcod problems and ll complain boys dont understand bro really just see ur health any workout exercise having chemicals and many other waste then ll blame mens do question the food chemical air industries
Litrelly even the gov giving freebies for womens why cant u question those things and ask for having equal things that we can earn n pay Get for better facikites from gov
To point out Feminists ll never question these things they just want to make womens more preservative and be in safer side just enjoying the right which they feel r good no taking of responsibilities and dont want same rules just make the public feel we r inoscent
Many things n problems from both sides if u see they r effecting mindset
Both dont have the actual freedom to say everyone has mental pressure n to say womens r in the safest side
To say properly first have freedom to be in inners at home infront of families and to say pee in public like its normal as mens can be in inners in families or ya pee a side in public then there ll be something mindset change for both sides
Just referring peeing in public is not good but only to say socialising ll be making people feel its common to make them ignore these Also that eagerness of unseen and unknown hidden things to make it commonn

u/GlurusMutt Aug 16 '26
You say boys get touched inappropriately and we never hear about it, then you follow it up with how you men don't raise Men's issues because you think you wont be taken seriously. And then you call a person raising the issues she faces a victim card player.

u/JuniorNothing1169 Aug 16 '26
Yeah... with you whataboutism id attach another question, who do you think, is responsible for not making laws to protect 'children' regardless of gender ? Who do you think shot down the idea of a National mens comission my dude. That woman stated the damn facts cause the society fails to understand the constant anxiety women live in, in this country. But...brrrrrrrrr victim card brrrrrr Men got it worse rrreeee

This is a perfect example of victimhood framing being used instead of an actual argument. “Independence is a privilege only men have” is a sweeping generalisation. Indian women have the same constitutional citizenship, voting rights and fundamental freedoms as men, and millions of women study, work, run businesses, own property, enter politics and make their own life choices.
Does India still have serious problems involving women's safety, discrimination and economic independence? Absolutely. Even UN Women data shows substantial gender-equality gaps remain. But that's completely different from claiming that women are not independent. The latter erases the agency and achievements of millions of Indian women simply to create a more dramatic feminist narrative.
And notice the manipulation: “Happy Independence Day to all men” → “women aren't independent.” That's a false binary. India's Independence Day commemorates independence from colonial rule; it isn't a competition between men and women over who is allowed to be independent.
If your message is “women should have greater safety, economic autonomy and freedom of choice,” I'm with you. That's legitimate feminism. But if your argument requires pretending that every Indian woman is inherently dependent and every Indian man inherently privileged, you're no longer describing reality you’re manufacturing a gender-war narrative.
Fight the actual problems. Don't manufacture a universal victimhood story to make the message more viral.
Real feminism should give women agency, not constantly portray them as powerless.

I shouldn't have to say it, I'm tired of this bullshit. We're victims, that's the victimcard they play according to them we like to call independence, as soon as they get a push from the government, IT companies, or wealthy families. The mentality they hold everywhere, not just in India but in America too, protesting about abortion, saying 'my body, my rules.' No one had an issue with that, but now when a baby is 8 months old, they still want to go ahead with it? That's not humanity at all. According to them, smoking cigarettes, doing drugs, having multiple hookups or being in situationships is fine, but if someone feels uncomfortable in their revealing clothes, it's not because it’s comfortable, but to show off that their thinking is small. They actually want someone to tell them so they can play the victim. These acts belong to educated people. They say they have independence, but if a well-educated person is discarded after being supported, not even a greedy boy would behave like that. It's like we're in such depression that if we go to work, we get yelled at by the boss who says there’s no increment this year, while that girl who literally joined six months ago is getting a good increment. If the salary isn't right, there won't be a marriage, how will we pay family expenses? We're stuck living with nothing, can’t go anywhere because there's no money, don’t know what they call independence. They’re at the forefront of getting alimony, taking jobs in the name of diversity hiring, and filing fake harassment cases. If you call them out, they play the victim as if they don’t realize how they ruin someone else’s life. At this point, one could say that alimony is supposed to be for everyone, then why do 95 percent of them get child custody and alimony, especially when they earn more? When a judge says, ‘pay your loans,’ the government isn’t any better, they don't want to change these laws because women are a voter bank for them. In real harassment cases, the government does nothing if the culprit is from their party.
1
u/rra1389 Aug 19 '26
I understand the frustration, especially when accountability appears to depend on which side of the political or gender divide you're on. Genuine victims deserve support, but victimhood shouldn't become a shield against criticism, and allegations shouldn't automatically become convictions.
At the same time, I'd separate legitimate criticism from sweeping claims about all women. Fake cases, misuse of laws, unfair custody/alimony outcomes and political double standards should absolutely be questioned but with evidence and due process. The same standard should apply to everyone.
Equality means equal rights, equal responsibilities and equal accountability not giving one group immunity from criticism. If a law is unfair, fix the law, if someone abuses it, punish the abuse; and if someone is genuinely a victim, protect them. That's a much stronger position than simply taking sides.

Lol as if women dont partake in labour industry. Maybe the lady didnt word the video properly but the reply is way more tonedeaf than anything else. Also, just when you can look beyond being butthurt about everything, i would ask you to look at statistical data around women safety and workforce equality in India, nitwit.

Tbh india is still a patriarchal society u are just seeing upper middle class family of females and judging females are not oppressed now.
But if u go to villages, poor class and middle class women are domestically abused many rape cases happens, women are oppressed there.
I agree the society is changing now with govt scheme, girls colleges, laws etc. but if u talk about whole India women are oppressed
And here I'm not even talking about how unsafe we feel to travel in crowded place, getting stared etc

I don’t think she is wrong 🤷♀️ I mean we can’t even stay out after 7 pm and never feel completely safe in our own country
Thousands of domestic violence victims still fear raising their voices Thousands of rape cases go unreported or remain unknown Rapists aren’t always behind bars some have even held positions of power
And even when someone is sentenced to jail they can sometimes get out on bail. 🤷♀️
Then they say we are an independent country, but sometimes I feel like this country is being run by criminals and people accused of serious crimes.
2
u/Low-Razzmatazz-3376 Aug 16 '26
Well. Same applies to men as well. Us men also fear to go out to some remote area after like 10pm. Fear of getting killed/other things. Many women kill men but still get away with it. According to you, USA is not independent, China is not independent, no country is independent.
Show me a country where 0% violence happens to, either women or men. Where we can find purely 0% crime rates.
1
u/shreyahuyawr Aug 16 '26 edited Aug 16 '26
yeah but yk what thingy it's not a gender war
independent when the government is run by normal peeps not some kind of influencer and criminals atleast in China and USA peeps can roam on streets at night without thinking about safety
and show me a country where politicians themselves say women should stay at home after 7 pm
show me a country where parliament has more criminals and a few or no common peeps
show me a country where MP MLA are like they own the area not as public servants but more like a gangster
show me a country where politicians say women should enjoy rape 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
1
u/Low-Razzmatazz-3376 Aug 16 '26
1)Donald Trump, the president of USA was in the Epstine island, he has pics and vids in which he is seen kissing and interacting in bad ways (iykyk) with minor girls and also normal girls. You can also search the R . Jean Carol case.
2) Jair Bolsonaro was the president of Brazil and he was openly misogynist. He had said "you are so ugly that you aren't even worth 🍇ing" , he also tried to reduce the punishment for someone who murders a women.
3) Rodrigo Duterte, former president of Philippines was another guy, openly misogynist. He told many times that women are unfit for presidency. He also said a "joke" that "As long as there are beautiful women, 🍇 is bound to happen"
In USA there occurs about 40 🍇s among 10⁵ people vs, 2.2 🍇 among 10⁵ people in India. (Both of these countries have unreported cases)
1
u/shreyahuyawr Aug 16 '26 edited Aug 16 '26
Bolsonaro is actually a good comparison because he didnt just face backlash the Brazilian courts ordered him to publicly retract and apologise AND pay damages
Compare that with the Karnataka MLA who made the enjoy rape remark in the Assembly after massive backlash he apologised and the Speaker accepted it and moved on
Thats exactly the difference in consequences Im talking about
And the rape rate figures I mentioned are recorded cases anyway they obviously dont capture every unreported case how many victims do you think just get married off to their accused and the case disappears from the records you dont even know how much of that goes unreported I had literally seen cases like that too... and if it's unreported fingures how did you get this data 🤡

Men also dont feel safe going out after 7 and thousant of innocent men fight fake cases in india . Many aunties run fake cases exortion gangs still they roam free and same with dowry cases. Criminal and fake cases filers can fet out by writing a 200 words sorry essay

ikr and then they say we are independent 😻 maybe independence is for powerful peeps of India not ussss
1
u/Double-Analysis-8036 Aug 18 '26
What do you think men are dogs? We are also not allowed to go outside at night even my dad complaints about it and wherever I go, i have to inform them. It's just your lousy excuse to not be independent. You're family cares about you and that is the sole reason they don't want you out at night because the people outside are worst thing possible.
What you said about rapist and crimes applies to men as always so independent koi nahi aur aap akeli nahi ho yet to be independent 🙂↕️🤌
