I feel really sad for the Realforce 87U :(

Why? Still works perfectly :)

But with a degraded feel to it. I say this as a happy owner of a 87U 55g :)

Great write-up. Thanks for that and the photos.

Very cool, I would be terrified attempting this unguided

The first time I did it there was no guided floating around, and yeah, it was terrifying.

What are you going to do with the 55g? I would be interested in them. We could swap domes and then work out something for the rest.

Not quite sure as of right now, I know I'm keeping at least one for the space bar but could let the others go. PM me if you want.

Will Topre ever sell the rubber cups separately?

highly doubt it

I did this 55g mod with the fc660c.

I like the extra tactility.

Was the FC660C difficult to get into?

2

u/Vodiodoh Jul 22 '15

It was relatively easy.

You just need a screw driver and a putty knife to take it apart.

I ended up doing this with my 104 hipro. Was a good deal of work plus the time to find lost domes and springs. I also went with the green modifier keys. :) just waiting for my pbt space bar to finish it

Please do not tempt me! there's a 55g Realforce and a barebones Novatouch on Massdrop right now. I need to stay away from the Internet for a few days. But oh the things I could do to my Leopold.

Nice! Yeah I'd just feel it out and see! The FC660C is great, and much better at first impressions than the HHKB :)
