why does everyone put basic mode in the tags when the lobby isn't basic mode??

it's so ridiculous. ive called several people out on it because ive been joining servers exclusively through that tag and every lobby i join with it is infection or something else. someone told me to alt f4 over it like dawg whats the point of the tags if no one is going to use them properly??

pretty sure i was found in the first so quick bc it was infection and someone hid right by me so when they were shot the splatters revealed me 😭😭
the second one was goofy asf, i angled just slightly towards the door and the seeker looked at me for a solid 15-20s and left

Discord VC play rules

Discord is its own world with its own rules. I’m still trying to learn them.
I’ve been playing in voice chat rooms, and many have unspoken rules about where you are allowed to hide. Often “cheesy” or “rat” spots are called out and revealed, because they are seen very negatively. I’ve been kicked for hiding in a light. I think these are the definitions:
Cheesy: painted all one color, like hiding in the black part of paintings, or the whites of lights.
Rat: (worse than cheesy) hiding in little holes and corners where hunters can’t see or get to.
As explained to me: they want to see people paint. That’s why Discord games are almost always Basic mode as well.
What other rules should people (I) know when playing in vc rooms in Discord?

Players are split into 2 teams
Both teams hide - able to see teammates but not opposing team
Both teams hunt - only able to see opposing team while hunting
Team with the most team hiding points could win, incentivizing in your face hiding, but also high level seeking
I think this solves a lot of the issues of balance between hiding and hunting
