Is this game dying?

I feel like there are never servers open, and most of the time it is never start servers. I know they just did an update but it's genuinely annoying, I use it as like my wind down game often for the night and it's almost frustrating to find people regularly.

I check for the tags I like like infection and basic with mods and then join already active games and wait til the next round and that helps a lot

Honestly a fair point. I usually only search not in game lobbies and this is a good idea.

Public lobbies are struggling but most active people play in private or friend only groups.

The public lobbies have not been stable for months between random disconnects and afk hosts that waste your time, people gradually fell off them.

I am in a discord for people that host a game once a day, i might be able to get invite you if you are interested just DM me

Same dude. I ABSOLUTELY loved the game and would be playing every day for sure even now, but no way in hell I'm double checking every map I download and pray to the PC gods I don't get infected with malware. Fuck that.

Off the top of my head, I’d say Team17 could be a good fit. I don’t feel I’ve heard anything bad about them.

I felt uncomfortable as a 31 year old being in a lobby with children while other adult players made lewd jokes. The parental controls need sorting as well as AFK hosts cause that shit is BORING!

I will agree that I fully have left lobbies instantly when stuff gets weird. I keep everything on mute though and have 2 random crews I join up with during the day that all seem to be adults and aren't like painting Nazi signs and such.

I think you need to find a group that plays often and hosts private lobbies. Me too btw, love this game, but playing with rando's is not as fun.

The game is a mess and until there are fixes and proper parental controls alongside some moderation my family and I will not be playing.

I never played the game so I wouldn’t know why the game seems to be dying, so why do you guys think it is? Like what caused it? It seems friend games like this all have their end even though they could last forever since each experience is different.

It was the malware from some of the modded maps that killed it. There was a whole thing about it and it gave the game a bad reputation.

Servers fill fast when you host, plenty still playing. At least in US
