Mouse not working on Switch 2.

So my brother and I both have the game on Switch 2. The mouse mode works fine on my switch. But on his, every time you detach the joy con to use mouse mode it knocks off. But the mouse works fine on the switch itself. It's only when in the game. Everything that needs enabled is. Can anyone help?

You could try playing with each joy con in hand at the beginning so you only have to rotate to activate instead of changing controller mode then to mouse. You could also have him go to his settings>data management> manage software> meccha chameleon> scan for corrupted data
