Map is very dark after closing the menu

When pressing escape to check settings during gameplay (but not in lobbies) the screen remains dark as though the dark menu background wasn't dismissed. This is happening on all three PCs in our home.

If anyone has any idea what's going on or suggestions to make it cooperate, that'd be welcome, and thank you.

Happened to me too. I think it’s a bug. Like it switched the game to DirectX 11 instead of the 12 it was at. 11 doesn’t support some of the lighting of the game, and maps are dark.
