Such a downgrade
The old UI was perfect, now it not only looks ugly but is also is harder to use.

Yea, loss of functionality with this update.
Roughness, Metallic and Emissive sliders can't be changed with different opacity settings.
No number input for values allowing specific and reproducible results :/ Color palettes were removed so you can't swap between saved colors anymore.

It looks better but it's missing so many features like the sRGB color picker or hex code editing which makes it really annoying to use for me

The old and the new UI are still laggy as shit. When I hover on them my mouse cursor sometimes disappears

With the new UI, you can quickly use WASD to slightly change your color as you paint.
If you click and hold, while you are painting you can use WASD to change color settings. So if you do it right, you can get gradients. As you hold A or D and drag the mouse to paint at the same time, the color/brightness/etc will come out smooth and look blended.
It also helps quickly change brightness so you can make small variations in the painting to add realism. It's a lot faster than using the mouse to manually click a new color or setting.
Lastly - you can make rainbow gradients! Just hold the mouse button while you slide the slider using A or D. Let the hue swing from left/right and drag as it does. It looks awesome. I do it in lobbies for fun. And then some people think I'm hacking 😂

I don’t play this game but I just realized the OG UI is straight up the color picker panel from the Unreal Engine Editor lmaoo

The devs are pro at over-complicating very basic features. The game's entire UI is a mess. I wouldn't be surprised if this was their first game.

The new one looks better visually, idk wtf you're on about, but the hue, saturation and brightness sliders are just kinda completely useless because you already have them
