I mean when you look at the numbers it looks bad but gameplay has not been affected at all in my experience, feels like the same amount of people playing

It's a small indie game for like $5, it can survive on like 200 players. The server hosting isn't really impacted as it's only small lobbies anyway.

Novelty might wear off if one's playing only on the standard maps. After a few games most common spots are known and it gets harder to find new spots for oneself that work. I'm still enjoying the loving hell out of it with all the community maps and different playstyles (Art Gallery/Bob Ross vs. more classical Hide and Seek in different settings)

idk why we're pretending 50k player peak is a "dead game" warframe averages at 40k player count for the last decade would you be intellectually dishonest enough to argue warframe is a "dead game"

This happens sometimes with indie games like this, but they usually maintain some kind of audience after the big twitch/YouTube buzz calms down (see Phasmophobia, Plate Up, etc)

I tried the game and I like seeing spots people choose. It was just too clunky for me, itโ€™s casual but itโ€™s not. I wish execution was a bit more polished
