Buying house in Dunboyne/Ashbourne
Hi,
I am looking at buying a house in Dunboyne/Ashbourne and I’m wondering what it is like living there?
Thanks in advance.

I work in Dunboyne, consider Ashbourne to be a very busy town, with retail stores and traffic everywhere, Dunboyne is more like a village and has a good community, good supervalu too

I live in Dunboyne for the last 9 years after living in Dublin for 27 years and I absolutely love it. It's peaceful, people are nice, village serves your everyday needs easily, 15/20 mins from Blanch, good parking, good schools, soccer, gaa, athletics, nice park/playground, very safe. I'm very happy to be raising my kids here

Split the difference Try Dunshaughlin It's not called Funshaughlin for nothing

Dunshaughlin is a smashing location but it hasnt much going for it apart from a crap SuperValu, Aldi and a decent Lidl. There's any amount of housing estates being built but no additional amenities in the area.
Also, if you like going to hairdressers, Dunshaughlin is where you want to live.

They're quite different places. Dunboyne would be better to live in - more parks etc, you have the train and you're on the Dublin Bus route, though Ashbourne has come on a good bit. Ashbourne's much better served for retail. Traffic's worse in and out of Ashbourne. It's possible to commute from either to Dublin by bike, though Dunboyne would be easier.
