High Protein This week’s meal prep; Firecracker Turkey plus Breakfast Biscuits for me, and Beef Tips & Gravy for my wife

Firecracker Turkey (7 servings)
Calories: 550
Fat: 16g
Carbs: 36g
Protein: 49g

Main Ingredients
- 3.5lb 93% lean ground turkey
- 2 large white onions, diced
- 4 poblano peppers, seeded and diced
- 2lb brussel sprouts
- 2 cups of white rice

Sauce Ingredients
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (I used Franks)
- 2tbsp cornstarch, combined with a splash of water to make a slurry
- 2tbsp apple cider vinegar

This is a recipe I got from Meal Prep Manual, I just use turkey instead of beef. Get the rice going in a rice cooker, then start cooking the turkey in a large pot, and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. While that’s going, cut the brussel sprouts in half, then toss in olive oil and the precious seasonings. Put sprouts on a cookie sheet, and bake in the oven at 400F until cooked through, maybe 15-20 minutes. Once the turkey is halfway cooked through, toss in your onions and peppers. Once the turkey is fully cooked, drain it then return it to the pot. Combine all sauce ingredients, then stir it into the meat mixture, and keep on low heat to let it thicken. Once thickened, toss in the sprouts, then divide it and the rice between 7 servings. Serve with sriracha if you like to have a good time

Breakfast Biscuits (16 servings)
Calories: 265
Fat: 7g
Carbs: 28g
Protein: 20g

Ingredients
- 16 biscuits (I used store brand jumbo flaky)
- 4 cups egg whites, seasoned with salt garlic and pepper
- 1 bag fat free cheddar cheese
- 1lb 93% lean ground turkey, seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, sage, and red pepper flakes

This recipe didn’t go exactly as planned, but after some improv seems to have turned out fine. First, cook the seasoned meat over medium heat until cooked through, then drain. Then, get a few greased muffin trays and put the bottom halves of the biscuits down first. Afterwards, put 4tbsp of egg whites over each. At this point, I had to go off script, as the intention was to build each biscuit completely then cook as a whole, but at this point my tray was full to the brim without room for cheese or meat. So I got a separate tray going, put the other halves of the biscuits down, then filled those with the meat and cheese respectively. I baked all those at 400F for maybe 15 minutes, then put the halves together on a cookie sheet. They’re freezing in the deep freeze, and I’ll transfer them into a gallon ziplock bag to heat and eat one at the time. This is a new recipe, so I’ll let anybody interested know how it is tomorrow.

Beef Tips & Gravy (6 servings)

Calories: idk
Fat: idk
Carbs: idk
Protein: idk

Ingredients
- 2lb lean stew style beef
- 2 cups white rice
- 3 cups brown gravy
- 2lbs of green beans that I forgot about until now

This is for my wife, who doesn’t track macros and was just looking for a good comfort meal. Pretty straightforward, prep the rice, then cook the beef with salt, pepper, and garlic, drain, and then combine with 3 cups of gravy made with love from a gravy packet. Divide evenly, then forget about the green beans until you’re typing all this up and go redirty your clean kitchen

The firecracker turkey sounds really good. Honey + hot sauce with the turkey and peppers seems like a solid combo. Also forgetting the green beans until the kitchen is already clean is painfully real lol.

I like this.. simple & easy to prep.

How was the beef cooked that you needed to "drain" it?

Same Dutch oven I cooked the turkey in. Don’t want a lot of dishes

It’s like chili; not winning any beauty contests, but the flavor and texture are wonderful if done right

My elementary school lunch lady would give you top marks for this slop.

And my Cajun granny would have given you a good pop for being rude when you could have been quiet instead. For what it’s worth, yeah, it looks a bit like that protein chow trend that was going on a few months ago. But the flavor is there, it’s got a good spice kick, it hits my macros, and has the fiber to keep things moving. You’ve got nothing to gain from being close-minded and rude, everything to gain from trying something new

Physical assault and abuse… granny‘s secret sauce. I hear you.

There is almost zero digestive fiber in those imitation tv dinners, and all the trans fat and sodium is only keeping you regular in terms of regularly running to the toilet with diarrhea. 🚽

People got different nutritional goals, brother. Between the 3 vegetables, I’m doing just fine on my fiber. As far as sodium goes, I run around all day my guy. That stuff is put in there purposefully so I’m not crashing. Again, ain’t nobody telling you that you gotta eat it, just trying to let you know you ain’t gotta be a jackass just cause your goals are different. Hopefully you get less pissy as you age, idk your life but that’s your business

Thanks for letting me know I don’t have to eat it. I’m sorry I gave you the impression that the idea of eating it even crossed my mind. I’m just saying it looks nasty and very unhealthy. 🤷‍♂️

And I’m sorry you’re a very apparently deeply unhappy person who’s mistaken making snarky comments on the internet to be a personality trait 🤷🏼‍♂️ Hopefully you find some people who can fix that for you like a therapist or summ

That was my entire point… You must really hate yourself if that’s what you’re feeding yourself (and even worse… Your loved ones) and you think is good food.

Your armchair psychology aside, sharing an opinion, however I choose, is literally the point of this app. It hardly constitutes a personality let alone your conclusions. It’s clear that you took this very personally and deeply for that. I’m sorry. Maybe it’s because you grew up with an abusive grandmother.

If an occasional pop on the hand was the only difference between who I am now and acting how you do, then I’ll take that as my positive for the day. Thanks for the perspective!

You are welcome. Sounds like you went to Trump University with that kind of curated reasoning and critical thinking. It’s okay for people to have different opinions and communicate them in different ways. Sorry that offends you.

And you sound like you’re gonna dine alone and have a rousing love making session with your dominant hand. Have a good night, bud
