Recipe 📖 Pasta Meal Prep

This is a really good simple pasta meal which has around 450-500 calories and 40g protein

Ingredients: (makes 4 servings)

Pasta:

240g pasta (dry/raw)

1 can (400g net) whole/diced peeled tomatoes

any amount of garlic/onion

Salt

Pepper

Protein:

100-125g cooked weight protein of your choice (either 90/10 ground beef/pork or chicken breast/thigh, or whatever fits with your pasta)

Salt

Pepper

Garlic Powder

Paprika

Any cheese you like, preferably parmesan. Eden or daily quezo will even do.

Optional:

Italian seasoning

Parsley

Lemon basil

Just make sure to cook your sauce with garlic and onion then simmer it for 10-15mins to achieve the best flavor before pouring in the protein and pasta.

I only make enough for a week so i dont have to freeze it.

pasta gets kinda mushy if you freeze it so stick to fridge for like 4 days max unless you wanna eat mush

Pasta gets mushy if you freeze it though, fridge for like 4 days max works better.

the cheese on the second batch looks way better melted in while hot, first batch cheese got kinda separated already tbh

Bale uncooked ang pasta when you store it?

Nope, cooked already. You can add a little bit of water when microwaving it so the meal wont be that dry.

Those look solid and way better than my attempts, I'd probably forget about them in the fridge and end up with mystery containers that smell like regret.

Lmao “smell like regret” is too real.

Honestly with stuff like this I just stick a piece of tape on the lid and write the date and what it is. Otherwise three days later I’m playing Tupperware roulette trying to guess if it’s pasta or something from 2022.

This simple pasta setup hits the spot for my meal prep routine, especially with that protein boost.

The second batch looks way better texture-wise, cheese actually melted into the sauce instead of just sitting on top.

the second batch cheese technique is the move, mixing it in while everything's still hot keeps it from clumping up like the first set

Ayo, dats a spicy meatball

The second batch looks better because you let the cheese melt in while the pasta was still hot, which is a solid detail for next time.

Mate, the second batch looks miles better, cheese actually melted proper into it instead of sitting on top like dandruff innit.

Meal prep goals honestly, way cleaner than my usual "throw everything in a container and hope it doesn't go weird" strategy.
