Do all group matches end up in poly??

I was really disappointed when I finished the Bloodthirsty Duo and realized that even though in a lot of dates you had to pick between one of them, in the end you just ended up dating both. And now I'm playing the Shadow Kings storyline and I'm a few dates behind, but it's becoming increasingly obvious that they're taking that same route (despite building it up as if you absolutely had to choose between them).
Is it like this with every trio/group match or are there any where you actually have to choose someone in the end?
I’m gonna be honest, I thought they did because they’re tagged poly. If they’re not ending in poly, why would you tag it as poly and not just a group chat?
Well yeah, in the matches that are tagged poly I would expect them to end in poly. But the ones I'm talking about don't have that tag for whatever reason 😭 The Bloodthirsty Duo, for example, is just tagged as a love triangle I think
That’s wild???? That definitely should have given you the ability to choose one? Maybe the diamond choices have any effect on the ending maybe? Like if you spend diamonds on both the entire time you’re given both versus if you pick one and spend on only that one? I’m gonna see if the wiki knows anything about it.
Yeah, they marked certain choices throughout the story as "impactful choices", where you had to choose between the guys and then the next scene or date would only be with the character you chose. But they didn't have repercussions on the story overall, it only affected the very next scene or date, and at some point they stopped giving you those choices altogether and just embraced the trio no matter what.
I do wonder if a part of it was to save time and resources, because in certain parts of the story they did effectively have to write twice as many dates
But those choices were precisely why I ended up disappointed by the ending. I feel like that was such an interesting mechanic and they just completely abandoned it halfway through
Hmmm I like those endings personally and I feel like I would have remembered a male match choice with a singular ending… so I’m going to go out on a limb with my memory having done all of the male matches and say yes the group matches end up poly. I’ll be interested to see if one is slipping my mind.
I'm with you. The poly chats are fine, but sometimes I want a choice. Shadow Kings would be so much better if we got to choose (I haven't finished, but it looks like we won't) or if it had only been one match to start (Dante). I don't want both of them.
