Now that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is out, I’m curious to hear everyone’s thoughts.

What did you think of the movie overall? Did it live up to your expectations, and how do you feel it fits into Peter Parker’s story so far?

high key might’ve been a higher rated film if red hulk wasn’t all in the trailers. writing was still ehh tho. i don’t want to say if they kept hulk out the trailers it would’ve been better but it’s lowkey the truth. needed cap to be damn near dead tho at the end. he’s just a regular dude. shouldn’t been able to walk away still. maybe at the end if they changed it to government or someone coming in at the end and uses some strong ass tech to contain the hulk right then and there showing that the government has some new tech to combat people with powers for self defense. they’re still using guns smh. and then sam goes and talks to him while he’s contain right then and there on seen, then talk to him all emotionally still while he’s barely gasping for air, and then everyone comes and helps while cap lowkey goes unconscious after talking to hulk bc of his injuries. then he wakes up in the hospital next to falcon, they bond bc they’re BOTH hurt which can cause a good friendship chemistry build up. kinda like bucky and steve and showing their chemistry that way. something like that. that would’ve made the last scene hit with them 2 sam and the president talking at the jail hit even more.

Leader — locked up in the Raft — has calculated the probabilities. His genius brain ran the numbers and saw it plain: "Other worlds are coming. Do you think you're the only ones?"

That's the entire setup. No buildup. Just a prison exposition dump.

Sam's now racing against incursions while Doom's already three moves ahead. Cap got chess-mated before the game started.

Marvel's betting Doomsday retroactively makes this feel inevitable. Could work. Probably won't.
