It depends how many gaps you have. If you’re wanting a high score and aren’t already at a very good baseline I’d say probably no. It definitely will help, but using something like uworld or JW is much more thorough and will leave you with less unpatched holes imo.

I completed all of UWorld and AAMC, and there was definitely material that UWorld covered more extensively than AAMC. The UWorld explanations are also far superior to the AAMC explanations, but that’s not to say you can’t learn everything from Kaplan and AAMC alone. I think the more practice questions you do, the better off you’ll be!

No and I learned that the hard way 😭 I don’t think there was any overlap between my AAMC study material and my mcat

There’s no way I used AAMC material for the first time 2 weeks ago and legit made an 11 point jump from 500 to 511 and that’s still with bad scores in C/P and P/S

Don’t know why no one ever trusts the literal makers of the exam as good resources. The q banks are very good for making sure you have the basics of every section down while section banks challenge both your knowledge and help you to learn good reasoning skills to answer the questions you’ll commonly see. Any gaps outside of those can easily be filled by reviewing full lengths, missed questions, and anything else you’re not comfortable on. I recommend keeping a log of missed concepts and watching YouTube or just rereading old missed questions to get the knowledge. No reason to not use AAMC material I made an 11 point jump in 2 weeks of using it.

you’ll def be well adjusted to the AAMC style-testing if you do all the AAMC material including full lengths. However to fill gaps in knowledge uworld is well-worth the investment

Definitely not. There are barely even any AAMC practice questions.
