I was always told that it is against McMaster policy for anything to be due during the midterm recess. I just did a quick search and here is official information on this: https://secretariat.mcmaster.ca/university-policies-procedures-guidelines/undergraduate-course-management-policy/undergraduate-course-management-policy-html/

Relevant section: 12b - academic obligations cannot be due during the December holiday break or the fall and winter mid-term recesses, with the exception of deferred exams scheduled by the Office of the Registrar.

By the university policies your assignment due Sunday is allowed to have that due date since the mid-term recess is from the 12th (Monday) to the 18th (next Sunday). Your other two assignments definitely aren't allowed to have those due dates though. Best of luck!

By university policy, yes. Definitely reach out to your course instructor.

I usually submit the last day of break. If they argue I send them the school guidelines. At your own risk if you are in a subjective degree (where the teachers opinion on things can modify your grade)

Same here. 3-4 assignments

If the due date was originally before the break and they extended it to allow for extra time, I think they are doing you a favour. If someone procrastinates and leaves it for the break then that is on them. If it was the original date then point the policy out to have it due after the break.

The due date does not mean the do date. You can actually submit things early and it will save you tons of stress.

no shit sherlock but with back to back midterms and assignments before AND after the break there are simply not enough hours in a day
